Now there is an Ayer Cut but I wonder if it will make much of a difference honestly

I think the characters and their back-story is more fleshed out in Ayer Cut and story flow would be better, which is a good thing.

Wasn’t a big fan of Suicide Squad. The movie has a great cast and it had its few good moments, but for the most part the movie was a mess. You can definitely tell there were a lot of edits, reshoots, and stuff completely cut out.

One of the big changes was actually the third act. Rather than the ridiculous stuff that ended up happening with Enchantress, it was actually the Joker who was to be the primary antagonist going up against the SS. I would have liked to see that.

Hopefully if Snyder’s JL is a success this can also pave the way for Ayer to get his cut of SS released. It would also be a great way to promote and tie it in with Gunn’s SS sequel too

Please just let this go. Unlike JL, WB is moving forward with a ton of these characters in the form of Gunn's sequel/reboot. Let Jared Leto's Joker rest in peace.

Why not let us fans experience Ayer's true original version of Suicide Squad? If you're not interested, simply don't watch. I believe it will be a better film than what we got and maybe redeem Leto's Joker. The Ayer cut will eventually release just like the Snyder cut and I hope it does sooner than later.

I see zero harm in releasing the Ayer cut. Let the cut build hype for the SC and the SS sequel. Especially if Ayer's version is a better "fit" with the Snydercut. Could be a cool way of rebuilding the universe on a streaming platform and giving us the intended vision.

Bring it on. I like Ayer, loved Bright, and I wanted to love SS. I’m convinced there’s a decent movie in there somewhere. They should totally release it. It could really help redeem the DCEU.

On Jared Leto’s Joker I feel it’s unfair to judge the theatrical version as it wants his full performance. I think there could be something really special in his performance that we haven’t seen. Although I imagine his take will still be divisive.

Yeah I imagine Leto wasn't putting in too much effort with the re-shot scenes also, you can kind of even see it in some scenes in the existing movie.

I truly feel that’s it’s unfair to judge him based on what we got, given how neutered he was. I mean you can still critique the look & maybe vocally what he was going for but what we got to see wasn’t really a performance.

I think that’s likely or late 2021.

At it's core.... no. But additional character development might help dilute her weakness as a character. Granted, this wouldn't be the first time in a movie where a villain is "weak".

Why did Johns even change that anyway? If the goal with Harley's character is to make her seem sympathetic due to her being in an abusive relationship then you can't really sympathize with someone that was involved in the murder of a kid.
