I would like this would be in the CW-verse, anyone agree?

 

Arrow, Flash, and Supergirl would make a fine CWverse Trinity.

 

Would prefer to see her in the film verse.

 

how would they explain her kryptonian origin without bringing clark into the mix?

I don't like this idea at all.

 

We can see a younger Clark just not an older one.

is it me or is Warner putting too much focus on the lesser characters?

Where is the Wonder Woman movie? the Flash movie? Green Lantern joining JL, the Martian...

 

I like Supergirl so I'd be all for this. I'd prefer that it'd be Kara, since she's my preferred Supergirl. I hope that it would be more like what Flash seems to be in the sense that it's a full-on superhero show, and less like a Smallville origin show. The only questions that I have would be:

1. Would WB let Superman actually appear considering he's appearing in the films?

2. If not, how would they explain his absence?

 

So...who would make a good Kara?

 

Waste of time to mention actresses we know from before, they will pick a completely unknown because this is CW.

 

Someone very innocent and fresh faced. I can't think of a young actress at the moment, but hopefully someone who isn't overly ubiquitous.

Bad idea.They tried this in the 80's.They need a solid Superman film/show to spin her off from.Just plopping into the DCTVerce is only going to be Superman-lite.

 

No, the problem with that movie was that it was godawful. Also, it WASN'T released in the "golden age of superhero movies/TV shows." So the situations are very different.

 

The Supergirl film had the benefit of coming off the Reeve series.In this case,people are going to be wondering if it's connected to the MOS Superman or does Superman exist in the DCTVerse-if so,where is he?Or is it going to be Kara lands before Kal (the old Harry before Norman-"change for the sake of change" thing) in which case,Superman might never show.

Blegh.Just make a decent Superman / Batman show instead of trying to get cute with prequels or spin-offs to shows that don't exist.

 

Agreed, she's from some sort of Kryptonian colony/outpost. That could work.

 

They're not going to make a full-on Superman or Batman TV show anytime soon, people need to accept that fact. There's too much money to be made by keeping them in the films.
