IT’S SUPERGIRL VS. CYBORG SUPERMAN — While Guardian (Mehcad Brooks) tries to clear his name after being accused of a murder committed by another vigilante, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) heads out on a solo mission to rescue Mon-El (Chris Wood) who has been captured by CADMUS. While fighting to free Mon-El, Supergirl comes face to face with Cyborg Superman. Glen Winter directed the episode written by Robert Rovner & Paula Yoo (#207). Original airdate 11/21/2016

This is what I've been waiting for since I was wrong, and we got Martian Manhunter.....CANNOT WAIT!

So does that mean that Tyler will be coming back as Cyborg Superman?

Could be Dean Cain as Jeremiah...

Probably, but why would they call him Cyborg Superman if he looks nothing like the original Superman?

The rumor has always been that it would be Hank Henshaw (which ended up as Martian Manhunter) or Jeremiah Danvers...doesn't have to look like Clark, it is just Cadmus' version of Superman.

It works out nicely I think, Cain plays Jeremiah who is Kara's adopted father, which is inline with the N52's Cyborg being Zor-el (Kara's biological father) and Cain played superman and now he's cyborg superman.

This should be one of the highlights of the November Sweeps. It's either Jeremiah Danvers or the real Hank Hanshaw as Cyborg Superman. This episode is before the mega-crossover.

I'm predicting that episode 8 will see Supergirl battle Cyborg Superman before Flash comes in to bring her over to his universe.

See, I'm kind of leaning toward both. Jeremiah's body, Hank's mind.

That was my exact thought. They both "died" in the same place so it makes sense that Cadmus would have found and experimented on them both, plus Henshaw fell off a cliff so his body would've been in much worse shape.

Anyway, hell yes I'm ready for this.

And it is the best way to screw with Kara, Alex, and J'onn. Because, hoo boy, will the real Henshaw be angry with J'onn.

I hope the fight between Supergirl and Cyborg Superman will be something like Terminator 2's T800 Vs. T1000.

looks like the odds are moving towards it being Zor-El...Kara's father...

So the candidates are Zor-El, Jeremiah, Hank, or even Tyler returning as his character's clone.

BTW, where did you see that the odds were favoring Zor-El? How would that even work?

Twitter feed of the actor who plays her father....he has been on a huge workout schedule and was in Vancouver.

It is Zor-El in the Supergirl comics...and another candidate is Mon-El....he gets captured by Cadmus in this episode.

I doubt it will be Mon-El, because if he gets turned into a cyborg in the same episode he's captured, that would be a mighty quick turnaround, lol. Even Metallo took an episode to be transformed, and making Cyborg Superman should be a bigger deal.

Not sure how I'd feel about it being Zor-El, tbh. Doesn't seem like it would pack as emotional a punch since this show has focused entirely on Kara's relationship with Alura and made him a non-entity thus far.

I don't think it is Mon-El either, and if it is.....I'm going to be pissed... lol

I don't think this would be nearly as interesting as if it were Jeremiah. Another case of where sticking with the comic book version isn't always the best choice.

In your opinion of course.....:cwink:

I think it would set up excellent emotional turmoil for Kara.....can't wait to see what the actual direction is, it's fun speculating. :)

The thing is, if it IS Zor-El, they'll have to bend over backwards explaining it, because in the comics, they had the whole Bottle City of Kandor and "New Krypton" thing that made it possible. Those are potentially HUGE arcs for this show that would be a shame to waste on a throwaway explanation for a villain like Cyborg Superman.

I really hope it's Jeremiah/Hank. Not only for the reasons mentioned above, but also, it would effect more people on an emotional level than just Kara. No one else cares about her dad (hell it seems like she BARELY does, lol).

Also he's been pretty much a non-factor for most of this show. They've focused MUCH more on the relationship between Kara and her mother.

It being Jeremiah not only gets Dean Cain back into the show. But it also pays off all of the teasing that they've been doing up until now AND it causes emotional turmoil for Kara, Alex, and J'onn.

It makes much more sense to use him.

I've read some posts elsewhere suggesting someone else could be Cyborg Superman:
Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) himself.

Mercifully, it's just speculation. But given the writers' reputation for WTF moments, if THAT happens...

I hope it's Hank Henshaw, he's one of my favorite characters and I will start watching Supergirl if it's him in Danvers body, which will be a neat twist on him pretending to be Supes in Reign of the Supermen. However if it's really Danvers or Zor-El I'll be really disappointed, that New-52 atrocity needs to end, hopefully Steve Orlando does away with him finally in the comics.

I doubt it's Hoechlin just because I think he would've been spotted at some point if he had returned to Vancouver (or shaved, as he's got the beard going again) since filming his original eps.
