That's what they get for living in California.

Yeah, I had a feeling she'd piece it together before the season ended, but didn't expect it to be quite so soon. And I don't expect it will be quite the "problem" Kara thinks it will.
No it is and now I know why Martian manhunter impersonates her to throw off cat. yeah it's possible cat will try and keep the secret but it always put cat in dangerous places cause she knows as well. so cat's better of not knowing at all and being mislead for the time being.

I found it weird man hunter said super man immune to telepathy if I know my super man lore he's not he does have mental blocks thank to his krytoninen training from the fortress. but if he meet's a powerful enough telepath they can cause him trouble like Manchester black did.

I think it's also cause man hunter was just trying to scan his thoughts and wasn't aggressive doing so. other wise there'd be serious trouble for the two of them.

Dang it they shouldn't be in the thread til they see the show though and finish seeing it.

lol that should be a rule.lol But ,Ok I'll keep what I'm saying in spoilers I just came in.

3 it returns Jan 4

I was just looking at return dates for most shows I watch, seems like many aren't coming back til last week of Feb/first week of March

The writers did their homework for the most part with each character and their comic mythos.

Woah! The episode was just amazing. Loved all of the action scenes and Astra was a good liar. Even i believed her for a sec. Non was very arrogant.

Best part was Cat figuring out Kara was Supergirl. Its the first time somebody finally adds up the coincidences, and with so much confidence. Cat is getting more interesting every week.

Yes i was royally entertained. Can't wait till the show is back again. Ending scene kept me on the edge of my seat.

Was I the only one that noticed the visual similarities and choreography in the aerial battle between the Supergirl/Astra fight and the fight between Superman/Zod in "Man of Steel"?

Then whats the point of having spoilers in the title?

Nope as stuff like this makes me glad I don't have to wait for a superhero movie.
This is why I look at the Supergirl series as a weekly Supergirl short movies!!

I was a little thrown by the abrupt end. No preview for the next episode either. The show is getting better though. Lots of stuff have peeked my interest and excitement for new episodes each week. I always like to see krypton and kryptonians.

Only the building destruction....but they only showed that once, not over and over again about 2 dozen times... ;)

I feel like it was also slightly taking a jab at that fight, since Kara and even Astra seemed to be making an effort to avoid collateral damage.

I'm really liking that Astra is being painted as a morally grey character, while her husband is the real big bad. I'm really hoping they put her on a redemption arc, just because those are fun, and they tend to result in more interaction between villain and hero (whilst still having her man available for the final big bad to beat).

It was actually impressive to see Astra managing to find the third option between keeping her promise to her husband and her desire to protect Kara, sacrificing herself to do so.

I reckon Multi-man (or whatever he is) and Gas-lady will each get their own episodes to be villains on, if they survive next week. It's a nice way to set up a freak of the week and have them mean something to the bigger picture.

I'm just TICKED that there was no preview.....dang it. :(

Which she promptly stops her fight to go rescue some civilians (also get a weapon). :cwink:

It might not be intentional, but everytime some seems to do that, it feels like they are taking a shot at MOS.

Also, Henshaw specifically said he couldn't read Kryptonian minds. Otherwise, he would've read Astra's.

I will say it was nice that not all of Non's groups were Kryptonians.

I'm not, that's so cliché. I was excited at the prospect of a female main villain, and this takes a big dump all over that idea.

I was actually talking about the choice in shots of how we saw Supergirl punching Astra several times while both of them were mid flight.

Ah yes, taking pointless petty shots at a movie that has nothing with this show, and was in a completely different context. Oh how mature.

Nit a bad mid break episode. First the drama with cat grant and catco was a nice story. And was fun learning she had another son. And likely be taking cues from her son backstory and history from the comics I hope. Also he is the character Melissa real life husband will be playing so interesting development there. Thr jimmy and winn stuff was good too and I liked the Scooby-Doo gang work they had tonight.

I did not expect cat to figure out or learn this early kara is supergirl. I was hoping they wouldn't have her learn or at least not for a few seasons. But thst scene was handled well.

I also enjoyed seeing kara past on krypton and her relationship with her mom and aunt. Astra plans where well played. The fight with supergirl was pretty good. And I liked the kryptonite knife came back into play. Along with her group finding a way to shield for it.

The end with the fight at lord tech was great. And lord did put up a good fight. Along with fake hank too. And leaving us hanging with non fight urrghhh I hate when shows end like that.

Oh good grief, calm down....it's a movie, not your best friend. Geeeesh... ;)

How is Astra not a villain? Kara may be glossing it over due to feeling betrayed by her mom, but Astra never denied killing a lot of people on Krypton. And Non's group weren't exactly playing gently with the DEO and Lord's security. We still are not really sure on their goals.
