Moviebob’s 3 part series “BvS really that bad” is one of the most entertaining things I’ve seen. Y’all gotta see it
I forget which movie it was that made me see a side of MovieBob that just took me out of his schtick. He was an insightful slick critic, but then it got to a point I realized he was an angry obsessed fanboy that's the stereotypical bane of geekdom.

When they seem to take clear steps away from what Snyder created I wish they would also have stopped with the huge fake muscles. That's probably the biggest costume sin for me. Hopefully the film is really good and fun so I end up forgetting all about that while watching though.

The Ben Barnes Jigsaw look for Punisher season 2 is some poor, weak sauce, eh?

Yes, that result of the climax of the first season is really undersold. The beard and haircut are bigger changes.

I'll link the picture for the people that haven't seen it.

All this time, I thought folks were talking about Jigsaw from SAW.

BvS was among them for me.

What still shocks me about MoS and BvS, is the amount of toxic behavior they managed to provoke. Movies about Superman, no less.
I saw young Jim Carrey for a moment there.

I share your concern for the ridiculous looking muscle suit. I like everything I've seen about Shazam except for Zach's frikkin' Hulk muscles.

Mr. Levi is tall and in great shape, and I don't see why the folks making this had to pump him up to such ridiculous proportions. Reeve managed to pull off Superman without looking like he was on a heavy steroid regimen.

Some suspect that he’s supposed to look silly.
That's what this Billy Batson thinks of superheroes.
Even though the cat's out of the bag, if Freddy was picked instead would make sense for a more pedantic look.

I said months ago when we saw set pictures that it was pathetic and they'd better enhance it with CG and sure enough, it looks pathetic and they aren't going to enhance it with CG. Eh.

Marvel Netflix has, on the whole, been mostly pretty good in my eyes but it's things like this that won't make me miss it.

Also Shazam! is going to be massive hit and a great little movie in it's own right, fake muscle suit or not.

I literally dropped my jaw seeing those pics of Jigsaw, I couldn’t believe that was it. Gotta say I don’t think he’d have any issues getting dates still, after what Castle did to him in S1 it should looke way worse. Of course they don’t wanna go into stupid territory like Punisher Warzone did bu they should have made it look better, heck even if they’d had him in bandages and shown him briefly badly scarred it would be better than that.

I’ll be honest too I find the MCU Netflix stuff boring. Really loved DD S1 and most of S2 but JJ, Luke Cage etc were boring as hell. The Punisher S1 was good at the start, boring in the middle and then good again by the end though. I won’t miss the MCU Netflix at all.

Showing him in mask would be x10000 better because imagination can create scarier things than make up artists

and pretty boys are usually hotter with scars like that so.....not sure what they were aiming for with this mess of a decision lol

Haha imagine if they twisted it and he’s hunting him down to thank him for how much better he’s doing with his love life :funny:

Hell I think those scars might actually help his chances more than anything :funny:

It's Marvel TV (I assume) being cheap and not wanting to pay for prosthetics and all the time that would take to shoot 13+ hours of TV. Keeping him in a mask would have been a way better cheap alternative. They should have him in a mask for most of the show and then one sequence (probably the finale) where we see his face.

This. I mean he is still a pretty boy but at least now there is something interesting there :funny:

Fanboy Wars: Marvel Vs DC Vs Star Wars vs Harry Potter vs EO17CU etc. | MARVEL TAKES THE THRONE | SOLO IS A HUGE BOMB

The numbers posted their weekly home video sales data. They run around 2 months in arrears but the latest data for Nov 25th is interesting because it's the first week of the Xmas sales where there is a huge spike.

Some interesting takes..

Deadpool2 is tops, selling double IW, even though they were released in the same week (nearly).

Black Panther is not in the top 30.

Wonder Woman is # 8 and topped IW even after 65 weeks in the chart.
The Numbers - Combined DVD and Blu-ray Most Recent Weekly Sales Chart

Moving WW out of the "crowded" 2019 release does not compute.

Definitely :funny:

Yeah agreed

The guy making the post loses some aspects when he doesn't take the money into consideration. For example, saying that Deadpool 2 outsold IW by more than double says one thing on its own, but another when you see that they brought in roughly equal money for the week (and IW nearly double as much in total). If you get something on sale then it's obvious that sales increase so if you watch weekly sales you really can't forget to include context.

As for Wonder Woman, I think they are taking Box Office performance more into account than the DVD/BD sales. Especially since this only shows the North American sales, as NA was the outlier in the BO that made the movie such a big hit. Internationally it did about what Ant-Man does now, so they might be looking to have their best chances to increase in that market. It's doing great in physical media sales though.

The standout in the sales for me was Home Alone making the top 10.

I think DCs thinking is to moving it away the same year as Marvels first woman lead superhero movie, as well as Endgame which will be thee superhero movie of the year. In 2020 it’s looking like a down year for Marvel so WW84 has a good chance to be the biggest grossing film of the bunch as well as the best rated one.

Of course they don’t wanna go into stupid territory like Punisher Warzone did
There is nothing stupid in having one's full body trapped between broken bottles in a crushing machine, and the only damage that happens to that person is scars in the face and none of the other areas in his body, including the shoulders of his suit.

Nothing.

:halo:

For w/e reason WW still bowed out on that release when it'd be dominating domestically that November.
If I learned anything it's that the legs of a tentpole are independent of competition
because audiences still check out the big worthwhile movies around the same time.
Heck, they could go the Aquaman route if they were really hankering for that international buzz weeks before it even hits stateside.

There can of course be other reasons why they moved it, I just gave a guess based on the info at hand.

I don't think they will be going the Aquaman route though since the two films are complete opposites in the domestic/international spread. Most big superhero movies have a much larger international part, and Aquaman is probably among those with the largest international percentages (it's of course not finished yet, but still), while Wonder Woman was one of the very unusual ones that actually had a larger domestic take than international. Since the first WW didn't do great internationally I don't think they want to rely on international WoM for the sequel.
