So first Aquaman and then Shazam, two in a row? Can you imagine three? That's be officially a streak.

Shazam has been a safe bet since that first trailer. Even a blind man could’ve seen that coming.

Not surprised by all the positive reactions to Shazam! I've been looking forward to that one since it was announced and the trailer completely sold me. I'll be there opening night in IMAX

Aquaman was a blast, Shazam looks to be another winner, and Doom Patrol is killing it on the DC streaming app. What a time to be a DC fan. It’s feels so liberating after years of mediocrity had been shoved down our throats.

Random observation, but the Dark Phoenix trailer got a surprisingly positive reaction from the crowd at my CM show tonight. Doesn't mean much of course, but that might actually be more successful than some of us are anticipating.

I'm still expecting around 500m. I mean, Apocalypse made 550? or so.

If Gunn has any guts, he’ll give Crazy Quilt the leading role we all know he should have had years ago.
If this doesn’t happen I’ll be disappointed lol

Very happy to hear this. Can’t wait to see.

Did they show the new trailer for you? Because my showing played the first one which I found odd.

It was the new trailer for me. I'm sure it was supposed to be the new trailer for you, too, but some theaters are lazy about that.

What are the odds a WW84 teaser with Shazam?

Probably not good. But I mean, I personally think it's the least they could do since they're making us wait another damn year now. :argh:

Yeah that’s what I figured. I felt a little bad since that first trailer kinda sucked and my audience was packed :funny:

Probably very slim. Still over a year out. Probably won’t see anything until November/December. My guess would be with Star Wars.

Eh, I still think it could've been better.
Yeah. Even if you agree with the way the story was handled, there were still cases of bad costumes, stilted acting, bad make-up, some bad casting, awkward musical choices...a lot of things could've simply been better, imo.

All seriousness, WB need to go all out with setting up Cheetah as Diana's big bad. Most of the big name villainesses are Batman related, and Wonder Woman is really the only big name character across both DC and Marvel with a female as their arch rival. She needs to be the selling point for WW84.

Nice to see positive reactions. The film intrigued me (made me even read Power of Shazam). But I seriously hope it's much better than Aquaman.

Oh wait I forgot about Comic Con. We’ll probably get something out of there. So July is a safe bet as well.

Captain Marvel was really fun. Not Marvel’s best but a huge improvement on Ant-man and the Wasp, which I’m kind of shocked has a higher rating and reviews.

There were a few moments it ventured into generic/rote origin territory but it was always saved by a good twist or a good joke. In my eyes it’s alongside Dr. Strange and Iron Man 3 in that mid-tier Marvel section.

Glad you liked it Flint. Looking forward to seeing it this weekend.

As much as I liked Cumberbatch in it, a Marvel movie on the level of Doctor Strange isn’t one worth going to the movies for. I’ll catch Captain Marvel in Endgame.

I liked Captain Marvel quite a bit, I would agree it's of the same quality of Doctor Strange and Ant-Man.

I can't really agree. The first trailer especially pointed towards a high chance the movie would fall into bad farce. Comedy is hard, after all, and it is very easy to envision WB responding to the failure of the grimdark Snyder model by swinging hard to the farthest possible other side.

I'm glad it looks more promising, but I won't really feel safe about Shazam until we get actual full reviews.
