It’s my GOAT.Kingdom Come is another one to go back to as well. Some things in that story haven’t aged well but but that artwork. It’s absolutely Alex Ross’s masterpiece.
Superman is still making millions a day in theaters so it will probably stay in theaters through Labor Day in the states. Was the Amazon Prime release date confirmed?
Does anyone know or remember how long Man of Steel stayed in cinemas? I read 3 months. Really? That long?
Was it ever confirmed how long 2025's Superman would stay in cinemas?

What are you talking about. Adjusted for inflation MOS made 571 million domestic and 950 million worldwide. Even though it cost over 500 million to make that all the inflation fans seem to leave out. That's only $10 million more than Man of Steel.![]()
That is being very optimistic, he is basically saying the film still has $100 million more to make, I doubt that
MOS did 63m in China and 10m in Russia. World has changed a lot since 2013. I hope that at Hollywood they have understood it.
Regarding the battle of the superhero box office… I really hope that both Superman and F4 usher in a slew of more upbeat, family-friendly superhero films. Not that I don’t like the dark and edgy stuff too, but feel like the genre has leaned so far into being “adult” for the past decade and a half in an effort to be taken seriously and now studios are finally realize that a lot of us got into this stuff watching silly Saturday morning cartoons. I first fell in love with superheroes (and specifically Superman) watching Super Friends in the early 1980s. Yeah, I’m old. I had a Hall of Justice play set. Actually seeing the Hall of Justice in a movie, are you kidding me? That was a top 5 lifetime geek out moment for me as a DC fan. So when I think back to stuff like that, my hope is that a whole new generation of kids out there can discover these characters the way that I did back then.
And that’s why I loved both Superman and F4. Both films lean into crazy comic booky stuff like pocket universes and the POWER COSMIC but they also feel so sweet and personal. It’s tricky to balance having the power to save the world while you’re just trying to prove to normal people that they can trust you and you just want what’s best for them. And it’s a nightmare to have to save the world while also finding a way to keep your newborn baby safe when a space god wants his power. I really liked how both movies made me connect with these characters and they just let them be wholesome and good people. They didn’t make them tortured or edgy or broken. They were heroes I wanted to root for and related to on a number of levels. So I hope we continue on this trajectory for both the DCU and the MCU.
