The Dark Knight Rises superman cameo?

The way I see it, if you put characters that don´t belong to the story, it´s just eyecandy. It would be too distracting for me to think in another heroes with nod to another character from another franchise. Like in Superman Returns, when they mentioned Gotham, it bugged me a lot. As I said, there is no need for this kind trend if there is no point for it. Because its the way is this Batman story was conceived.

I am open to an evolution, but there must be at least another Batman film to start "mix and matching" characters. There is so much to tell. And as for Robin, its too early for that.

True but you need something. To me DK had this message that Batman does not want to do everything on his own. He wants people to fight crime just in the way he does. If they showed that, if only for an instant I could feel good for Bruce. Cause the second film has him with this massive wieght on his shoulders, and while we know Batman can take it if Bruce is starting out as a hero I want him to have doubts of his success. At the same time I want him to look around and point to a reason to be happy.

Not superman, or the Flash, but anybody.

At first maybe, but he also doesn´t want the people he care most to be hurt. Rachel died because of this. He doesn´t want to risk the safety of people of Gotham, that´s why he rejected the copycats, and that´s why he took the fall for Harvey Dent. He is the outcast as Alfred said. I think in these line "I´m willing to put my life on the line in order to do what I have to, but it has to be mine...no one else´s"

I liked the anime. Just my opinion. See you tomorrow.

well, i don't think superman will fit in but how about clark kent and lois lane visiting as reporter? i think that would be pretty cool...

Would've been totally awesome and acceptable in the Tim Burton batman universe.... BUT NOT IN NOLAN'S!!!

'Ah, mastah Wayne. Looks like da Jokah's escaped from Ark-- ... Nevah mind, Supahman got im.'

'Bollocks, Alfred! I'm bored :cmad:'

You have GOT to be kidding me.

Why would anyone want Superman to show up in a Nolan film? It would feel like a Saturday morning cartoon.

I hate it when comic-books (or movies/tv/whatever) crossover. It feels like they're breaking the fourth wall, and take you out of the story. The idea of a bunch of Superheroes banding together is moronic. (one of the reasons I cant stand the Justice League. It tries to be serious and dramatic, and yet it's got an alien and five men in tights with superpowers running around fighting talking gorillas and aliens)

I dont mind crossovers if it's done in a silly manner, (Teen Titans, Batman: Brave/Bold) becuase the idea itself is ludicrious. Have fun with the idea and it can be entertaining. But when you try to juggle drama and real storytelling with a crossover, it comes off absurd and laughable.

I hate hate HATE crossovers. NO crossovers for the Nolan universe. Ever.

By the same extension, Wayne Enterprises can bankrupt LexCorp through underhanded means

The most cameo I would accept is someone referring to Bruce as the second-richest man on the eastern seaboard, or a barely noticeable faked "Fortune" magazine or something showing a list of really rich people, and both Bruce and Lex being on that list.

Hopefully this boring realism will be shattered eventually, but not by superman.

By the time they decide to go surreal the franchise will in all likelyhood be on it's last legs, and they won't have time to cut lose with the various interesting charecters they could use, they do not need to throw all the more interesting charecters out for the sake of a flying guy in a red cape.

Just because the movies go surreal does not mean you have to go Un-Dark. Even If I thought that the franchise was going to continue after 3 movies, I still don't think there would be much room for a superman crossover, if they did a series, well, maybe yes, in the later seasons.

But for now I think if Nolan was told to introduce an out-of-the-box charecter before the franchise reaches it's end it would probably be Man-Bat, he is a dark villain, is not Synonymous with Batman and Robin (Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Bane).

Of coarse if they did a series I would not mind Superman flying into one of the later seasons, wait I already said that... Oh Well.

If Nolan did Man-Bat, he would probably turn him into another Batman, but gone bad, like SInestro and the Green Lantern.

This realism is not going to last forever (I hope), so rather than adapting people to his world Nolan should adapt his world to them, or just keep his world how it is and throw in these new charecters anyway.

I am certain if they do a series he woulld appear in his more literal form, mostly because Nolan won't have time to direct every episode.

I believe he would certainly appear if they did another reboot, but first they would need to find a director who was not so hostile to inhuman-beings. (Which is, apparantly, very hard.)

Speaking of Superman am I the only one who notices the strong resemblence between Cillian Murphy and Tom Welling?
