I'm trying to be optimistic but I hope they don't go with that wet Peter Parker emo fringe look in the film

 

Many of my friends (the boys choir from "Another Brick in the Wall") believe this to be the case. We'll just have to see how it works out, but it will probably not live up to WB's expectations. The pool toy sales ought to go through the roof though.

 

I think it's more a metaphor that the people of Metropolis are giving Superman the cold shoulder.
