Prophet??? why would he need to be a prophet

I'm talking about his comments that pretty much allude to Kal-El becoming the savior of Earth in the Donner movies.

his a scientist and a genius by their standard. Is it so hard to believe they would have explored other planets before.

Well, yes. If space travel was that easy for them, why wouldn't he just evacuate anyone who was willing to go, including himself and Lara?

I've pondered over it for whenever I posted that last post and have figured out why I liked it. It was about the characters and story but you didn't neglect the action. Despite what others might think my main problem with SR wasn't the non action, it was characters that I didn't reconize nor care for. In your story Clark Kent is the real person, I've always liked that idea more and thought that it made far more since. I like that Superman saves people and do not ever want that eliminated from any Supes movie but a villain fight is a must and you delivered. I like that you made Superman just a plain old good guy because that what he is and should be. I liked a young attractive Lex and tough as nails Mercy. And you used one of my favorite villains, then set up brainiac! I loved Supes in that story, that is what he should be.

I will write something sometime soon but I have to mull a few things over, one things for sure, Kirsten Bell would be my Lois.

Never a fan of that either.

IIRC the explanation given for this, at least pre-Crisis anyway, was that Krypton was just starting to dabble in space exploration when the whole program got botched in the revolution instigated by Zod. Why such an advanced civilization would wait so long to start exploring space, I don't know, except perhaps to speculate that given their own early history of warfare, most of Kryptonian civilization felt they had more immediate concerns to deal with...

...hmm...I may have to consider this angle when I rework my synopsis...this gives me an idea...

A fresh entertaining script would be nice. A better love interest and cooler villains.

What I really want is a reboot to the Superman franchise, it's what I always wanted. With that said I don't mind a sequel to SR.

That was my fault, i merged the 2 together and i thought it would take the oldest threads poll but it didn't.

Nice job. That's what happens when you disappear into the "Hottest Celebs" forums. :cmad:

I am revamping my idea a little with help from my go to writing partner, Metropolisman. Be prepared.

We are going to post the script on the internet and let the fans be the judge. Whatever happens from there is out of our hands.

Let's just say, what we are planning, will not be an re-origin, a restart, or reboot, but will re-engergize the Superman franchise.

That's a very arrogant comment, Showtime.

What's wrong with saying re-energize? Explain.

It sounds like the versions we have of Superman are not good enough or kind of old. Although I have issues with Smallville, I think it has injected some fresh ideas to the Superman myths, SR of course its not perfect, but introduced a son to Superman. We watched Superman almost dying, we had a very realistic plane rescue scene. Have you read the comic books lately, they are pretty good, even Richard Donner was writing in one of them. Jimmy Olsen knows Clark and Superman are the same person. Again, I apologize if you felt insulted, that wasn't my intention, I was just a little surprised, that's all.

I am not really insulted, I am shocked that you felt it was arrogant. I think you are letting your defense of Superman Returns get in the way of some good clean fun. :csad:

I'll post it on Bluetights.

OK, I already said I was sorry, if you can't accept my apologies there's nothing I can do.

Did I like SR? Yes.

Does it mean its perfect? Absolutely not, far from it. The lack of action always makes me wonder why it was so expensive. I wanted a Lex Luthor who was a great businessman that was the most powerful man in Metropolis. More lines for Superman, its not Batman, we're talking about. I thought and still think Kate was not the right actress for Lois.

I didn't say I didn't accept your apology, I said that I wasn't really insulted. Just shocked because you went into an automatic defense about Superman Returns. Just because Superman Returns had some breathtaking moments, doesn't mean it couldnt use more energy.

That's why I posted the flaws it had. IMO. And there are many more more. Those homages to the Donner movies are everywhere, and sometimes it makes SR look dated.

Are you taking any stories from the comics? If you do, I could help you with that, if you don't mind.

No problem. We are cool. :yay:

I already have the script completed, i am re-editing it with my writing partner. Thanks for the offer though.

I am taking alot of elements and story arcs from the comics.
