brainac and his henchman, havoc, have discovered new krypton and determine it came from earth. they begin their descent in search of kal-el. fadethrough metropolis round 9 p.m. to se elois at the daily planet writing. clark's there. they chat, lois saying how she wishes she saw more of superman. moments later clarks gone, supermans at the window. he flies lois up to the roof, where they chat and catch up. Lois is sorry for giving supes the cold shoulder for a while. They agree to talk more often. Lois comments how the sky loks beatiful, and superman flies her up to see it. they land, and the lines go:
LOIS
I have to go back now....
SUPERMAN
Will I see more of you? I do miss you, lois.
LOIS
Is it true that you never tell a lie?
SUPERMAN
never.
Lois KISSES superman-they begin to kiss, before it breaks. Superman smiles, and we fade out, and fade into a massive island prison during a storm. we meet lex luthor in prison. he does a funny little escape and hes smuggled off the island, and picked up by a private plane. Hes escaped from jail. Next day at the daily planet, Lois is almost in almost in a daze, like she just met superman for the very first time. Meet up with lex who arrives in a warehouse, and we see hes got his men at work-they have tvs set up f a private plane.
cut to metropolis airport and see kitty koslowski is getting on a private plane. it takes off. we see the pilot drink some water. clark and lois talk some more, with jimmy jokes. cut to lex, who says "it should happen any minute". cut to the plane-the pilot passes out. the plane begins gluiding stedily downward. kitty notices. opens the pilots door-sees him passed out-screams! Clark at the planet hears it. Through the windshield, we see the plane break the clouds-it cruising downwards directly over metropolis river, heading for the huge suspension bridge. kitty shoves him out of the way but doesnt know what to do. she pulls up on the wheel but she cant out muscle an airplane- she rockets downbwards straight for the bridge-cut to the planet. clark enters the staircase, rips open shirt. back to lex, hes getting excited. the planes almost to the bridge-kitty shoves down-the plane nose dives, missing the bridge but is rocketing into the water-superman catchesit, lifts it-lex expected it. "right on que" he says and presses a button-we see a small canister on the belly of the plne-boom! the canister explodes, the planes fine, but ti shoots kryptonite into the air. superman falls as the plane sidewhindes into the city, going down over metropolis avenue, heading for the square! lois at the planet hears commotion-sees the plane comming through a window-richard spots it to! they run out-superman gathers himself, bullets after it-pull sup alongside it-kityt screams "help me superman!" and superman yells "hang on!" he falls back, he grabs the wing-it explodes-he falls back-the plane spins, tralis of smoking clouding the canyons of metropolis! kitty screams, amost to th eground. the other wing explodes-superman melts it and flys through it and under the plane, catches it in a dive feet above the ground, spots another bomb-hurls out to sea- swooshes it up in to the air and finally sets the plane down before a crowd in the middle of metropolis square. lois is there and makes eye contact with superman. lex is pissed. jason sees superman, too. richard thanks superman, and guides him away from the swirling press. the 2 are friends. its covered on tv.
Meanwhile, catch up with brainiac and havoc. we see their skull ship sitting queitly in the middle of the sahara under the bright sun. their crusing in a land rover hover craft. havoc drives as brainiac sits. their heading towards the kryptonite. lex is enraged, and quickly leaves when word spreads forces are heading that way. we see hes in washington d.c. Back to Metropolis, lois and richard are getting ready for a large event the following night. lois is interviwing the president atop the ritz metropolis's new balcony level, but theres an argument over what to do with jason. clark agrees to watch him, while jason plays with his superman toy which richard pulls away. hes jealous. richard leaves, he hs a trip to newark till tomorrow afternoon.
