Superman Returns Superman Returns posters bios

I enjoyed reading your bio Snake. Thanks for sharing.

great, great thread idea.

I'm Rob. I'll be turning 21 in 18 days, I'm a third year animation student at the School of Visual Arts. I'm into movies, comics etc.

I have been a Superman fan since literally before I can remember. By the time I was 4 years old I'd seen episodes of The Adventures of Superman, Fleischer's Superman, all 4 Reeve movies, the Ruby Spears Superman show was still on and Superboy was just starting, along with the many many Superman comics I had.

Batman I don't know when I became a fan, but I think B89 was the big cause for my love of that character.

I am the newest generation of the model T-100. I was sent through time to protect John Connor. I have since been outclassed by multiple models of Terminators ranging from the T-1000 to the T-X. My mission is to protect John Connor at all costs.

I study Superman because I have seen how he has dealt with both Aliens and Predators. I must educate myself on his battle methods in case I encounter these creatures.

Trust me.

I'm Spike (Scot) and I live in New Brunswick, Canada and I'm 18 years old. I enjoy Role Playing in the DC Comics forum, weightlifting, reading, writing, running, science fiction in comics, movies, television, etc. I'm a huge fan of Superman's rogues, I hate the copout/use of kryptonite, Doomsday, Kryptonian villains and technology, or red sun radiation that some writers feel they need to create a physical threat to Superman. I'm a veteran of the CINO forums and founder of the Haturz Justice League. I dislike posters who don't try to add to a thread's conversation other than to annoy (Jplaya, roy), which is why I don't go to Community. I work on basically any physical labor jobs that come my way (by all definitions, I am a lumberjack, in fact).

I really do like the choice of actors in SR, but the plot and the semi-sequelness to Superman 2 piss me off. The costume's not what I wanted, the idea of Lois having a kid sucks IMHO, the spitcurl doesn't look like an S as it's supposed to, and the lack of LexCorp and Hope & Mercy tick me off. The lack of superpowered villains is something that I think of as a lost opportunity, but it won't ruin the movie for me.

I am really excited for Superman Returns, but not as excited as I hoped I would be.

i think your not excited as you hoped to be because we havent seen much. in the theatrical trailer and may and june tv spots, when we see superman moments and him flying, ect. the hype among fans will be HUGE.

Perhaps you missed my list of disappointments...?

EDIT- I guess it also kind of perturbs me when people assume they know what I'm thinking. It's even worse when they're wrong. :o

LOL. I'm glad SkyNet programmed you with on-board internet access and a link to SHH.

My name is Bob, and I'm from Cudahy Wisconsin. I've been a big comic book fan since I was 12. I read Superman, Batman, Sin City, The Punisher, and various others. My favorite is Superman, and my favorite villian is Solomon Grundy, next to Darkseid and Brainiac. I hope that they would put Grundy in a movie, but it's a longshot. I 'd love to see the fights with Superman, and how they would do him visually. I watch the Superman cartoon on Boomerang every night at 11:30 along with Batman. I own the films on tape, hoping to upgrade to DVD when the collection comes out. I'm looking foward to the new Superman film, hoping that they was away everything that was the attempted making of Superman in the 90's.

Favorite Band/Singer: Johnny Cash (favorite song: Hurt)
Favorite Sport: Football/Basketball (Favorite NFL Team: Packers, Favorite College Team: Ohio State, Favorite NBA Team: The Pistons, Favorite College Team: LSU)
Favorite Movie: The Godfather
Favorite Book: The Godfather by Mario Puzo
Favorite TV Show: Monty Python's Flying Circus

Puzo is a great connection to Superman, he is credited as a screenwriter and with the story for both Superman The Movie & Superman II.

Well--except Puzo didn't really contribute much to the movie but his name. If I remember right Mankiewicz rewrote pretty much everything.

As opposed to typing a bunch of stuff about me, check the link in my sig.

All I posted was that he was "credited." He did an early draft.

It seems Mank gets more credits than he really deserves. He polished the STM and SII scripts, sure, but there was also some great writing by Puzo, Benton and the Newmans.

What is this some kind of group therapy?

Hi.

I'm Bob.

I have man †i††ies.

Thanks for the info Cinnamon. I am glad you want to be a screenwriter, best advise is to just keep writing. I would suggest that you find some books by David Trottier or Neill Hicks, to study the art of screenwriting.

Name is Nivek, Im a scenic artist and sculptor currently living in Florida, but im originally from Hudson Valley area in New York. I grew up reading primarily Marvel Comics and some DC titles, watching movies, reading genre magazines. Got a taste for Horror films and slasher films from the early 80's, which gave me an intrest in Special effects. Went to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, got ripped off there, and it took me a while to finally filter down here to God's waiting room to work for various scenic companies.

Very nice. I am a huge fan of horror flicks, actually horror is what peeked my interest in screenwriting to begin with.
