I know but when I think of a fight between Metallo and Superman, I think of smacking each other through buildings. Real fisticuffs. Not just rince and repeat laser blasting. I've always considered him one of the more physical foes. But I guess we got Mongul and Bizarro for that so they figured they'd try something different.

Ah that would be so bad ass.
Yea, i know what ya mean tho in terms of the combat, but man this is an EA game so we can kinda expect that the combat wouldnt be innovative, fun, but not innovative. I still cant wait to see Metallo in all his '60 stories tall' glory.

Just played the demo. Looks really promising.

The first time around, however, it's frusterating because it's difficult to know what to do and how to use the controlls. But, after three times- the controls are learned and it's easy to maneuver. Just gotta watch that super speed- lol.

Should be a great game- yep, I think a Superman game finally got it right! Maybe the Superman 'game curse' has been broken!

I'm glad Superman has one-liners, but I'm sure I'll be turning voices off if I need to fight the boss more than once due to Metropolis' destruction.

And the Parasite was supposed to be in it, but was cut.

We also know that there are a couple villains exclusively created by EA that'll appear in the game. One of them, I know is called OverKhast.

Hello everyone! I just went to pick up my copy of Superman Returns for PS2 at a local GameStop, but I had a question. When I talked to the lady at the desk, I just asked offhandedly if there were any pre-order exclusives for the game. I know EBGames/Gamestop has these sort of pre-order incentives often, but since there was no mention of them on official websites or on forums I check, I figured there were none.

To my surprise, she said that there was a "Special Set of Cards" that came with pre-order copies of Superman Returns. When I mentioned something about it not being online, she said that it was an "In-store exclusive" or something like that. The thing is - I don't know if she was just BS'ing me or not, because I did actually hear her laughing about something as I walked out. I didn't think that someone at Gamestop would do that, but I figured I'd ask around here to see if anyone has heard of such a bonus from GameStop.

OMG. Playing it and- WOW!!! In my humble opinion this definitely beats Spider-Man 2 to the ground. This game is super! You definitely feel the weight of the city on your shoulders alot more than you did in the SM2 game. And it's highly addictive.

Just a really awesome superhero game!

ign.com's got a video review up... they don't sound terribly impressed with it, but they do say it's the best superman game that's ever been released (which isn't saying much, but still) they pretty much say it's an okay game. good, serviceable, but nowhere near great.

That scares me, since we know EA's track record on creating characters.

Overkhast was a new character? That character was awesome! You face him in 'war world' and have to fight him hand to hand and his huge form by throwing objects at him.

War world was cool in that not only did you have to defeat the bad guys- you also had to be the most rooted for 'gladiator' which was a neat fighting twist.
