Suprised it hasn't been made

I'm surprised nobody has attempted to adapt "The Catcher in the Rye" into a film yet. I'm also surprised that Marvel hasn't made a new Captain America movie.

Salinger won't allow it. It's been pitched, but he just won't budge.

Huh? Dont get me wrong Im not against the idea. But Halo sold about 9 million discs for the 360.,,and Nintendogs sold 17 million for the DS..Do you want a Nintendogs movie then?

I meant one day gross. Beating Spidey 3 & Potter Book 7.

How bout these:
MASKS the old 80's cartoon
The Jetsons
Johnny Quest
Splinter Cell
Quake
Duke Nukem
Samurai Jack

I'm surprised they haven't made a movie related to the Shannara series, or any of Terry Brooks' books really.

I thought a Static Shock film would have been good, if they used a mixture of the comic and the cartoon, but now that the cartoon is over, it's steam has run out, it should have been in development when the show was still on air.

They've been trying for atleast ten years. It's a very tricky proposition to present a gung-ho American soldier hero post-911. It had to be handled very, very carefully.

They'll get around to Metroid before they ever do Zelda. There are rabid Samus Aran fans, but none compare to rabid Link fans.

The Talisman. There's been talk about an adaptation (either as a movie or a tv-series) of this novel ever since it was released in 1984...

A faithful "The Mask" film - until Carrey signed on, it was actually going to be a horror film. Damnit, Jim.

'Twould be awesome.

The Spider.

I'm suprised GTA hasn't been made because of the marketability of the name. If a Vice City movie had of come out in 05 it would have been a massive success regardless of how ****ty the movie is.

Halo, Gears of war, Splinter Cell are properties that deserve A class treatment at hollywood.

QFT.

I would absolutely LOVE to see a CITR movie. I just hope that if it ever would get made by some act of God that it actually doesn't suck. Of course, that's asking for a lot these days.

Hmm, I heard delayed. Jan De Bont is still attached to the project from what I hear.

I'm suprised the successful D&D stories didn't get made instead of the generic one they did.

Dragonlance
Forgotten Realms
Greyhawk
Ravenloft

:thing: :doom: :thing:

I'm surprised that a good Superman movie hasnt been made since 1978.
