I think they told them early on so they could explain it to everyone , including the audience. That's why they kept showing those silly what if segments..

Francesca seemed decent to me, but she might be overshadowed by some people.

Those what if segments were terrible. It wasn't even a what if scenario. They just described the vote out and then said "Could he or she fight their way back from Redemption Island?" And most of the people they used were voted out in the final 6. So how could they have gone to Redemption Island anyway?

As for Francesca, she had too much of a holier-than-thou attitude for my liking. Phillip was an idiot, but its not exactly like she was running a clinic on diplomacy. With a million bucks on the line, you should probably be a bit more patient.

Yeah, I really hope they cut the **** with those "What if?" segments. They're utterly pointless.

Wow. Just when I thought it could not get any worse than Coach, Phillip comes along. At least with Coach, you could tell he was having fun with it, and he did redeem himself later in Heroes vs. Villains, but Phillip is something different entirely. Poor Kristina.

Really? I thought she seemed pretty genuine and amusing.
Yep,. I dont get the love for her here. She seems like one that had potential to really irritate further down the line so thank god they got rid of her before she got a chance to do that. Hopefully they keep her airtime to a minimal

Actually that whole first tribal council was horrible. The game just started. These people barely know each other yet. Lots of stupid talk and outbursts too early on I hope this isnt another season filled with idiots

I was starting to get annoyed after the second 'what if' clip. :funny:

I was shocked that the first tribal exploded like that. Stupid game play all around. Everyone pretty much showed their hands...including Rob.

The sad part is, Rob could afford to show his hand because no one gave a **** about it. Kristina seems to be the only one who sees Rob for the threat that he is. Everyone else just looks at him like a celebrity.

Yeah...Kristina was definitely not impressed. It's too bad she will likely be gone very soon.

What if Survivor stopped doing the What If segments.
Please do.They're really annoying.

(Made it to 250 posts.)

The "What if?" segments are the most half-assed promotional gimmick I've ever seen. They seemingly picked the featured contestants out of a hat, and didn't even go anywhere interesting with it, or anywhere at all really.

I read up on the Survivor Philippines Redemption Island season, and their Redemption Island only lasted until the merge.

That's exactly what we were thinking. Most of the examples they used would have never had a chance to take place.

Those segements got old real quick. Hopefully, they only last an episode or two and everyone gets what's going on.

I think Rob perfectly summarized Phillip , he's got a good heart but definitely went loopy somewhere along the way.

Can we please get rid of Phillip this episode? That last segment was just too much for me

Why does every player seem to think the best strategy is to find a cute, inoffensive girl and be her human shield, carry to her to the end and then allow her to sit there and say, "He did all the backstabbing, not me?" Has this strategy EVER worked?

I didn't picture Matt being next ...maybe Phil will mess this up somehow.

I can't believe how cool everyone is with Rob running the tribe.

Oh wow, what a shocker. Did not see that happening.

Not sad that Matt is gone. He was just another 20-something beach-bum *****e. But Philip.... yeah. That guy has issues. Real issues. Why do so many contestants on this show seem to be sociopathic megalomaniacs? I guess I answered my own question.

What I find amazing is that Matt was okay with it, it seemed. "Maybe Rob set me up for the best come back in Survivor history." He's not even mad! :(

Andrea is from Wisconsin so I'm pulling for her a little bit, should be interesting to see if she'll actually say anything to Rob or continue to follow him like a sheep.

Phil may be crazy, but he makes for really good TV. Lions and Gorillas and America **** yeah.

I dunno. He seemed a bit pissed just after the vote, mouthing off a bit. Meh, I don't much care how he shakes out. He's not much worse or much better than anyone else on the show this season.

But Philip is a huge *****e. He makes Russell look positively balanced.

I think that most of them are just overly optimistic about redemption island..
They seem to think it will be ok if they wind up there but not when you start out day five. Also whoever does survive isn't going to have a strong enough alliance to carry them through the end.

I dont think Philip is a *****e. *****es' are intentinoal with the way they go about hurting people. I dont think Phillip is calculating at all. He is just weird and delusional in his own little world
