I was thinking....it seems likley to me that, in the movie, the symbiote will not come from space. It will probably come from some stupid lab accident or something.

It's the same reason that the X-Men didn't go into space in X3. Hollywood apparently just can't think of a way to make it believable. I'm gonna be bummed if they make this change, but it's hard to imagine them sticking with the origin from the comic.

We'll NEVER see a "Secret Wars" anything....like the comics.

So,yeah. It'll be lab created. To save "time" and storyline.

:(

:(

In the 90s cartoon, John Jameson brought the symbiote back with him by mistake while returning from a mission. I'm praying they'll do something like that.

who really cares where it comes from?

it could come from up the toilet and grab parker when he's on the crapper for all i care, it's origin is not really relevant, only it's affect

heck, i would prefer if its origin is left as a complete mystery, sometimes there's too much emphasis on explaining things.

maybe, just once, something can be left shrouded in mystery.

it was on a shuttle coming to earth because john jameison was on moon.:venom:

Maybe while he was playing football on the moon, they found it :D :spidey:

I heard from a bunch of websites it comes from the moon! Not a gay lab accident.

In Amazing Spider-Man #1, Spidey rescued John Jameson's shuttle from crashing. It'd be cool if they tied that event into the symbiote origin.

same here.

In the Ultimate continuity it was a cancer suit developed by Richard Parker and Eddie Brock Sr. Maybe they'll go that route and have Peter and Eddie Jr. be childhood friends that become bitter enemies.:sym: Hopefully they'll stick with the John Jameson space flight origin from TAS.

Stick a fork in me, I'm done!

:o Its actually quite pathetic...
Good to see someone went through the exact same pain I did while reading this thread.

Well as we all know, Sam Raimi has really changed the storyline, I wouldnt be surprised if he even thought of calling the whole series: Sam Raimis Spiderman. Maybe theyll come up with an original story thats seperate from the comics. Hopefully they do, I dont just want to see the comics come to life, I actually want to have a story that I cant predict. I dont know if anyone else feels like this, but I wouldnt be surprised if a lot do.

I have a feeling that it will be a creation of Dr. Connor's, created to maybe heal his amputation... I only say that because we know Dylan Baker is again in this film, that he's signed for only one more after this (suggesting Lizard would be the villian for SM4), and we've seen a Gwen Stacey comic-con poster that has Gwen and him on it... maybe Parker meets Gwen thru him, maybe she's how the symbiote gets over to Parker, I don't know, but if I were to speculate, I think that's the most realistic way to approach it.

The Symbiote Is Not Formed On The Planet Earth!

Nuff' Said.

I'm hoping it will be an extraterrestrial lifeform.

aliens dont think its gonna happen its gonna be some ssuper suit
& gets let on to him from like doc conners lab

I like the lab-created origin from Ultimate Spider-Man actually...for like it's original purpose to cure diseases and such

i dont like that origin, i love the amazing spiderman original venom symbiote origin.

Well whichever origin either of you likes doesn't really matter now, since it probably won't be filmed that way. For those of you talking about John Jameson bringing it back with him from one of his missions, the only thing he'd be bringing back is the alien artifact the ultimately turns him into Manwolf.

are you sure about that?
