I really hope Dent isn't involved in the finale. The Joker is too important a villain to pull a Sandman/Venom thing. This movie should be all his with Face only appearing at the very end. The Joker should be the only monumental villain IMO. Face should be saved for the third

definitive visions of batman have him as anti-gun. in the comics, when dick grayson was a bluudhaven police officer, batman wouldnt even let him bring his service issued side arm into the cave. in the comics, he does have explosive projectile type weapons on the batmobile and such. but its the mere idea of the gun itself, the weapon that stole his parents, he doesnt stand for it.

I think Nolan got trapped into an ending he might not have made had he known what would happen to Heath

What if the joker is all CGI for the third film. Like Davey Jones in POTC???

:hoboj:

And yeah, batman uses guns. So the **** what. He doesn't kill anyone with them. Wounding or crippling is totally cool with the batman code.

You know your argument's failing when you start insulting and speaking in movie quotes.

Or if your dealing with someone who obviously didn't pay attention during Begins when Bruce chucked that gun into the river.

Or made sure that rachel didn't have to shoot Zasz.

Or didn't give up the Batman mantle in Batman Beyond because his heart gave out and he had to raise a gun to scare away a criminal to save his own life. (but didn't fire it mind you)

Or the time in JLA when he was possessed and that spirit had him shoot and kill his enemy and he was so pissed off that the spirit chose him to do both those with.

Or that episode in JLA when they went back into the old west and Bruce refused to carry a gun.

Or the countless times in the comics when he beats the living hell out of people who pull guns and then makes a badazz comment about his disdain for them.

Of course he's a gun toting vigilante. I'm sure the issue of the faux batman using rifles will piss him off in TDK as you'll see, Mr. "Deadhead".

Wow....that name really works for ya. :woot:

wounding is cool. crippling, no. wounding or crippling with a gun, HELL NO! do you know anything about batman?

I know he shot some ******* in the foot. ;-)

Hey.....WTF?

Where's 'spoiler dude' on RT? Get his ass back on there so that we can get back on topic.

He flies now.

I just think Batman looks cool holding a rifle, for any reason. Because you don't really expect it and it shows he's a practical and efficient guy who knows guns are good for more than just killing people. He's not that warped that sees all guns as being evil, it shows he has his head on straight and is dealing with his parent issues.

I'm off to work, but I just saw a mention on the Ain't It Cool review that Moriarity of AICN has seen it. Are his thoughts posted anywhere online? TTFN, gotta run.

man that review is either bunk or just poorly written. dont waste your time on it unless you haven't been following the rotten tomatoes stuff recently.

i just usually read the last paragraph. Usually the wrap up tells you if the critic likes it or not in most cases, espcially with online sites.

so true, i do the same. saves time and usually avoids spoilers. plus the meat of a review is nitpicking something which doesnt matter to me. the end of reviews is where it states it best.

im very distressed that this is happening. I almost dont believe it. All these months (years!) of keeping the film under high security and they just throw it out to journalist like its nothing? they even have had the novelisation put back to avoid spoilers. all that work and they are going to show it to loud mouth writers 3 weeks before hand?
it doesnt make sense, if they think that the press will be polite and keep what they saw quiet then they are in for a huge surprise. many reviewers and websites will be posting it up as quickly as possible to attract people. Also with reviews in so early I can only see people becoming confused thinking its out early.
a week before is understandable, but 3 - 4 weeks is insane, why? why are they doing this, they dont need to. the hype and belief that this film will be great is already imbedded with SO many people.

I think im going to avoid these boards now. First I had mgs4 partially spoiled for me by a leaked copy, ill be damned if more of dark knight is spoiled to me by some jerk journalist.

The guy on RT is legit.

The Joker's stories of daddy slicing his face are real (at least him talking about this in the film), his disspearing pencil trick for the mob is real.....

Here's another separate review from Aintitcool that has similar content:

idk about this at this point. all i know is i find it hard to believe that theyd show it a month early and thered only be one lone nut talkin about it on a 3rd rate website.

How do you know they're real?

It sorta depends on the director. Schumacher, Raimi, even Burton proved they can't tell a good story featuring more than one major baddie. Nolan proved with Batman Begins that he can. I think this movie will be epic enough to pull off both characters.

Because seperate reviews are passing along the same information.

Call it a hunch.

Could be that they're the same person or that the one copied the other's review. The reason I asked you was because you stated they're real, as if you knew it for a fact.

But since it's a hunch... well, my hunch is they're real, too, but I thought maybe you knew something solid.

If I ever know anything to be absolutely, positively, for sure, to be the god's honest truth.....you'll be the first to know.

I appreciate the faith, Gianakin.

Or the same guy or a copycat is passing along the same info.

Wouldn't be the first time.

So, Jow,

are you saying the entire review is BS? Or are there some inconsistencies?

Have you seen the film?

From what I can gather, Jow has sources of information he hasn't revealed to anybody. SO he's probably basing it on all of that.

I tried to get into a screening for "a new action adventure movie, due to be released from a major Hollywood studio later this summer" but it was sold out before I got tickets. Dunno if it was TDK though.

The guy from RT is on there right now.

If you guys don't believe him, than front him on it. Embarass the **** outta him and expose him as a liar....why be casual about it.

You call BS, yet you offer no alternative information to prove your case.

You can't reveal why you know it's BS? That sounds like a bunch of crap to me.....
