IMO it didnt seem like a review at all except the lines from the movie which we havent heard yet. when people write reviews especially with something as big as this movie they would give some more info than that

nolan stated that Dent comes in early in the movie. The review mentions that Dent comes in the second half as the 'new symbol of hope'.

Plus, the review didn't feel like a review.

If the review is real, I thought it was a decent one that did not reveal big spoilers (who wants to read big spoilers in a review a month before the movie is released anyway; besides the people in this forum).

Remember, this movie is 2 hr 32 min long. The Dark Knight is almost as long as Zodiac for crying out loud.

I view it as this. The review states that the tone of the first half hour is filled with dread. Then when Dent appears, the movie's tone will be changed. Maybe Dent appears right after the first 30 min. of the movie. Even then, the movie will still have 2 hours to go.

Actually the review says that Dent shows up half an hour into the movie.

The film lays a foundation of dread in the first half hour but quickly changes as soon as Harvey Dent walks on screen and unleashes a train wreck of good intentions

The person who posted this is a user on IMDb. We're currently asking him spoilerific questions. Personally, I have my doubts about his legitimacy.

Well you are the only person from IMDB that I know I can trust, so keep us updated if you figure out if he is legit or not nicky.

So at what point are we actually going to start seeing legit TDK reviews. It should be relatively soon, I'd think.

God I hate IMDB.

This isn't real, it's ********.
Why the hell would they screen the film in Toronto (where I live) when they haven't even starting selling tickets here yet??
BULL.

.......................................................

........Am I loosing my mind or didn't we already read this review a while ago and debating on these "shakesperian lines" mentioned in it that felt awkward to some people here ???????????:cwink:

There have been no press screenings yet. This "reviewer" has not seen the movie and essentially posted a vague essay of praise based on conjecture.

the only people who have seen this movie yet are people that work for warner bros and some of theyre merchandising partners... all of which have said the movie is amazing!!!

This review is weird. It's THE biggest film of the summer and he gives this rather bland review. I mean he seemed to like it a lot. But the entire plot and everyone involved took a backseat to his overall theme of Heath Ledger.

It reads like a review from someone who either doesn't know how to write a proper review, or didn't really see the film at all and guessed.

My sentiments exactly. Even the headline, with great respect to the late, brilliant Ledger, doesn't seem to grasp how anticipated the film is.

It's like this quote I found in RottenTomatoes from some critic.....

"There's nothing particularly wrong with Begins, but in a way, that's exactly what's wrong with it." - Las Vegas Weekly.

:whatever:

People, especially critics, need to get over their expectations and take the movie for what it is....

ROTFL!!!!:woot:

no comment!:woot::wow::woot:

So is anyone here going to be able to see this before its actual release date? If i play my cards right, I'll be seeing this two days before it comes out.

I concur. It's funny how some people crave attention so much they make up **** just so they can have their 15 seconds of fame. Not saying the review isn't legit but I still remember a couple of posters a while back claiming they had seen the trailers and coming up with the stupidest claims that were later put down

I am but im not sure what date, i just know its like a week before it comes out...WB will be sendin email invitation out this week for press screenings in ny a week before the release. il let you guys know an exact date when i get the emailllll - canttttt waitttttttttttttttttttttttt i wanna see it nowwwwwwwwwwwwww

Why do you think that?
when you see the real reviews you'll note that the reviewers tend to expand on the scenes that are generally known from the trailers. Since the trailers are chocked full of Heath's performances and his review gave him a vague mention, that shows he didn't really see the movie or all the previews. Believe me, he said nothing that shows he saw the movie.

I know, something just doesn't smell right about that review (the one I posted). This person knew they were going to be one of the first out there about one of the MOST ANTICIPATED films of the year...and it's so bland, so vague seemed centered around Ledger. It just didn't seem to make sense to me.

I strongly think this is a typo, but this theater where I live has showtimes listed on Fandango beginning on July 11th. This is most likely not true, but I'm still gonna call anyway and see if it is, a Batman fan can dream.

Review Linky

Soo.. someone from Rotten Tomatoes posted a review of TDK. Apparently he went to a screening on Monday night.
