I agree, there was something holding him back.

I think you have to be objective with reviews to make them worth while, I see Kermode as a reliable source and is usually a deadshot.

There is a trend in England to slam something to make them look like they are cool for saying the opposite to everyone else, but Kermode made what I think are going to be valid points.

We will find out in a few hours

I love Kermode, he's my idol, I wanna be his mini me

I was reading the books he wrote about Shawshank and Exorcist.

I love the detail he goes into when researching the subjects, the sign of a proper film critic and one of the few that I trust.
I found it interesting that Mary Poppins is one his 10 favourite films of all time

Yeah, he's one of few critics who truly understands film not just some Total Film reviewer who got a D in English, he's got a PhD in English & his thesis was on Horror Fiction. I love the fact that he will go against the general consensus on certain film e.g. Pirates of the Caribbean, Judd Apatow Comedy's, any Blockbuster, etc.

Do you listen to his film reviews on 5live every Friday?

Already posted this in another thread but here it's pretty fun, so you should read it, too.

At the Italian press screening (Monday evening) an old lady threw up in the cinema when Two-Face first appeared... so ****ing great! :D

which cinema is everybody watching TDK at?

Me I'm watching it at VUE, Cheshire Oaks on Screen 9 (the big one) at 8pm tonight

Manchester IMAX at 8pm. Meeting my buddy at 7pm in Piccaddly train station.

Glasgow iMAX, at the Glasgow Science Centre. Was supposed to be starting at 7:30, but it's being moved back to 8pm. So...6 hours to go...
