Teachers drop the Holocaust to avoid pissing Muslims off

I'm sure the Muslims on our board to answer better than myself, but the way I see I've read it, Jesus is a prophet to the Christians, Muhammad is not necessarily the "greatest" prophet, but the "last" prophet, and the prophet to Muslims.

So do Mormon's worship a different God?
No, they're christians, but I think they have a few more books in their bible.

I don't pretend to be an expert on Islam or Judaism, or even Catholicism, I just know what I know. And I know there is sufficient reason I could see that I wouldn't argue "They are all the same God". It's what I believe personally, but I can't prove it.

Catholics have more books, Mormons, have The Book of Mormon besides the Bible.

Ok....:yay:

Where's Raybia when we need him, he could answer some of our questions.

Honestly, I don't have any questions.....I've given reasons why I believe they worship the same God.:yay:

I never understood muslim culture

Excellent contribution and insight.

But again, that is a judgement that is found in only a few in relation to the whole....

Not the same.

Christians worship Jesus as God.

Muslims don't.

Too big of a gap to bridge.

But again, that is a difference in how each sees Jesus, not God.

You're motive behind your statement is you are looking at one as right and one as wrong. Instead of in a desire to learn. So you will never see anything as relatable between the two.

Probably might have something to do with the fact that you seem to know jack-s**t about it.

How are you gonna tell me what my motive is??????? I could consider you equally as closed-minded to my explanation.

Jesus is God in the Christian faith. Period. He is God's son. He is equal to God the Father. In Islam it is "shirk" to equate anyone with God.

Both have two different ways to Salvation. Jesus declared Himself to be the only way.

John 14:6
6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

He didn't leave the door open for anything else. So am I
drawing the line or is he??

Because Memphis, that is how you always post....its not just from this post, it is your style of posting as a whole.....am I closed minded to your posts? yeah at this point, I probably am........

Close minded to other's beliefs, and respecting those that are willing to see and respect differences? No, I'm not close minded to that all, quite the opposite actually.

Of course you will quote those things Memphis, you see the Bible as right, and all others as wrong. You just proved my point, thanks. Thats cool, and thats your opinion, but call it what it is Memphis, your motive is to prove a right to one, and a wrong to another, rather than learn from both.

Judaism--Christ is a crazy man. Christians -- The Messiah. Muslims -- Prophet to Christians. Difference in Christ not, God.

Jesus was a Prophet of G-d, not Christians. A gift to ALL of humanity.

From what I know of Islam, they believe Jesus was simply a prophet of Allah, however his GREATEST prophet was Mohammed.

Not greatest, just the final. Muslims see Islam as the "cap" of all the Abrahamic religions. First there was Moses and the prophets before him (Abraham, Noah, et), then there was Jesus, and finally Muhammad.

I'm at the hospital right now, and I have 3 patients to see, so keep asking the questions and I or my fellow bretheren will be MORE than willing to help out!

My post was how each religion sees Christ. Muslims do not see christ as a gift to all humanity, they see him as a prophet to Christians. No more of a gift to humanity than Muhammad was in their eyes. My statement said , Prophet TO Christians, not OF Christians.

First of all...what's wrong with Tweetie? :woot:

Of course some will view the Bible as wrong. What's new about that? :cwink: But if you are gonna get answers about what CHRISTIANS think and teach, that's where you go. It has nothing to do with motive. It's source material. Wanna know what Muslims teach?? Go get the Koran. Put them both side by side and you get two totally different world views on God, faith, practice and salavtion.

Now if you don't want to hear that, that's one thing. That's like blaming me for saying that the Atlantic Ocean is different than the Pacific. They just are! I didn't establish it. I just report it. It's not about being "open" to seeing them as the same.

Both cannot be true if they both say something different and conflict. I believe my view is true. The Muslim believes his view is true, as well. I do find it quite amusing that the Muslim never gets accused of "close-mindedness" by people like you. :yay:

The statement you are trying to make makes no sense.

are you saying that Muslims believe that Christians believe Jesus is a prophet? Because Muslims believe he is a prophet too. Not just to the christians, or for the christians, or whatever other participle you want to interject. They believe him to be a prophet, for, to, of all humanity.

And my understanding is that diffrent christian denominations view Jesus' relationship with god differently. Oh, and can I just add that I have never heard any Jew I've spoken with about the subject say that Jesus was crazy. They thought he was a good man, who may have been inspired by god, but was not the messiah. And I talked this over with Super-Jew.

That last line was just ignorant Memphis. The rest of it made a fairly decent point though.

John 3:16
16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

According to this passage. Jesus was not just a gift to Christians but to all men who will accept him by faith. As a matter of fact you are not a Christian until you do accept Him.

Oh and about Tweety....lmao, missed that part.

Aw, Tweety is just showing the "don't mess with me" side......other sides will be shown at a later date. lol

I wish you screwheads would stop posting John 3:16 over and over again to 'prove a point.' We get it. I know what it says. What you seem to be missing is what everyone else is saying: they worship the same god, but their ways to salvation, and their views of Jesus are different. Hell, open up the Koran. Moses, Job, Solomon and David are in there as well. So is Jesus.
So, I ask you. Do Jews worship a different god as well, since they don't believe that Jesus was the messiah?

Whether they're the same God is debatable due to many factors. For instance, the relationship between God and Jesus varies a little from denomination to denomination. Also a lot of key history changes happen through out our religious history. We worship SIMILAR Gods, but not necessarily the same.

It can besaid that we all worship a single benevolent, ominipotent, omnicient Diety.

Its only debatable by those non-muslims who want to debate it.

Muslims believe that the Quran is irrefutably the word of G-d and the Quran says for Muslims to tell Jews and Christians that our G-d and their G-d is one and the same.

So for those who cannot accept this then that is not only their right its also their hang up.
