The Dark Knight Teaser Poster Coming?

This is only the teaser poster y'know. It's not going to be the ONLY one they make. Besides, it also gives the audience a pretty good idea how gruesome and psychotic this Joker is going to be.

Also, Nolan said time and time again this movie is solely focused on Batman himself. Joker is just playing the role of the psychological threat of Bruce questioning his role as the dark knight.

I was originally asked what I thought of the possible tearer being Joker holding the bat....I answered that I didn't like the idea and said why....you then proceeded to tell me why I was wrong....about my OPINION.

i see what you're saying c. lee. that's a good point, since it's not a joker movie. but i just figure joker is a big selling point so they might want to focus a little bit of the marketing on him. but like you said, if they did a gordon, dent, batman, and dawes poster, then the joker one would work fine.

The movie is still going to be about Batman, but it'd be a complete marketing blunder if you're not going to put emphasis on one of the most infamous villains in all of fiction returning to the big screen.

It should be something like the transformers poster with Optimus Prime facing off Megatron. It would be Batman on one side of the poster and joker on the other side facing each other in a side view. The joker holding that knife he was holding up against Rachel and Batman holding up a batarang.

that looks really corny. But they might be able to pull it off a little less corny with the heath's joker. In the poster both of them should be looking each other dead in the eyes ready to go at each each other and also have a serious facial expression on their faces.

it had nothing to do with jacks joker, just the style of the poster. blame the artist, not nicholson.

i dont know why everyone wants to see more batman and less joker. i want to see the villians just as much as the hero. villians kick ass. neglecting the villians is just as bad as neglecting the hero.

Unless they make seperate posters for 5 or more characters from the movie (like they have done with the XMen movies) then it should only feature Batman. If they want to make a movie called "The Wacky Adventures of the Joker"....then he can be the centerpiece, but otherwise it should be the Batman in prominence.

However it seems that a lot of the marketing has had to do with the joker thus far. The viral sites, the pictures released, the teaser, all emphasized the new big bad. So while this proposed poster may not be in keeping with the vision of the film, it does follow the marketing trends we've seen for the film thus far.

I do agree though, that I would like to see more of bats in all this. He should be the main draw, not the rogue gallery.
