Ted 2 gets release date...and it's summer 2015

You really have to be into it or not. I've been watching MacFarlane's stuff since like 1997 when he was writing for Johnny Bravo so I always know what I'm getting.

I enjoyed the trailer, will definitely see it. No Mila eh?

Love the look of this, the first one was brilliant, Million Ways wasnt too good but the trailer for Ted 2 was great, disappointed about no Mila though.

McFarlane was likely the first person to hear about her pregnancy, so that's why she's not in Ted 2. I mean, they were casting and filming right up to and after her giving birth.

I thought A Million Ways To Die In The West was pretty decent... Lush cinematography, dynamic score, effective cast and a few hilarious moments.

Yes, you could see just how awkward it was for Seth making the transition from voice actor/performer to leading man, but he wasn't too bad.

So is Mila's absence going to be explained?

Yeah I didnt think it was that bad either. I laughed a bit. But then again I had really low expectations.

He wrote for 'Johnny Bravo'? Okay, so he's not completely talentless.

Million Ways to Die had three things going for it. 1) the score, 2) Charlize Theron, and 3) the cinematography. Everything else... bad, bad, bad.

Ted was sporadically funny, but Ted 2 just looks desperate. McFarlane's trying to make a statement and separate it from its predecessor, but I didn't find the trailer funny. Even that sperm donor bit was more gross than anything.

Whether you like McFarlene or not there is no denying that he's talented. He does all those voice and Im pretty sure he sings in most of them

the cookie crisp bit had me on the floor (love Amanda and Mark's high five when it went in) :funny:.

Some of my friends got to be in this as extras. I think it looks hilarious. I don't like Family Guy and Million ways was mediocre. I guess it's something about the talking teddy bear that works for me.

Caught this last night. As with his last two movies, you know what you're getting with MacFarlane. Some of the gags are Family Guy rehashes, but there are a few that are pretty smart, which is par for the course. Ted looks a LOT better this time around due to the improved CG and actually is more of the main character while Johnny is actually more of his sidekick. The court scenes actually get pretty heavy handed and are obviously jabs at LGBT rights and what not. It's worth the money I think overall as long as you're a fan of Seth.

She was pregnant during filming.

Yeah, they do. saying John and Lori got divorced. Really? it's a good movie, but I really missed Mila. The Ted effects are better and there are some good scenes at NYCC.

go

They had them divorce? That sucks.

Haven't seen it yet but if that's the case I'm presuming that Amanda Seyfried is supposed to be a love interest?

I definitely want to see this. I'm sort of in love with Amanda Seyfried.

I saw this last night. It's more of the same from the first movie really. So the jokes are hit or miss ( much like Family Guy). But I honestly I chuckled quite a bit with this movie, but the movie is really heavy handed with the gay rights parellels and the court room speeches referencing real cases feels kinda out of place in a comedy. But still if you liked the first movie, family guy, or Seth himself you will probably like this movie. There are some funny celebrity cameos, and some genuinely funny jokes and moments here ( I definitely laughed at the Amanda Seyfried Gollum jokes).

7.5/10

MacFarlane is really random when it comes to the comedy and sometimes that works and sometimes it does not. This movie wasn't as good as the first and there are lulls in the laughs but it made me laugh out loud on occasion. Just wish he would stop making movies so long. 90 mins would do just fine

Just as good as the first one, I enjoyed it.

I saw on imdb that Weta took care of the CG this time. No wonder he looked so ****ing real. There were a couple closeups I was sure it was just a Ted toy they had up there but then it started talking and moving.
