Comedy Ted Lasso - Apple's heartwarming sports comedy show

I am so glad I waited until all the episodes finally dropped which is pretty much what I did with Season 1 and because of that I was really able to soak in all the awesomeness of this show.

Just an emotional rollarcoaster ride from beginning to end and episodes 8 and 10 just wrecked me on so many levels and I never thought I would ever feel so sympathetic towards a character like Jamie, but that scene with his father in the locker room in front of everybody was beyond heartbreaking.

So much great stuff with Roy and Keeley this season too and even Sam got some great moments. I guess I should have expected that turn with Nate but I didn't and now I'm excited to see what they do with him in Season 3.

Nate completed his turn to the dark side with his grey hair and dark suit. Rupert whispering things in his ear always looks shady.

Nate wants the praise of a boss but he won't handle the negative criticism that comes when things go wrong.

I loved the finale! There were some really emotional scenes with Ted and Nate, as well as Roy and Keeley, which were really well done! I also was happy to see Sam decide to stay with Richmond, which led to the hilarious outburst from Akufo! Hope to see a lot more of Sam Richardson in S3!

Also hope to see more of Trent and Sharon in S3 as well!

And man, do I despise Nate! I’m kind of hoping he doesn’t get redeemed at the end, but who knows what will happen!

Bruh that scene was absolutely hilarious and easily one of the biggest laughs I got out of this season. I swear the more things I see Sam Richardson in the more I end up liking him as a comedic actor.

It would be a be a shame if we didn't see more of him or the Sharon character going forward, especially Sharon who I thought was a great addition to this season aswell. I loved seeing her and Ted grow closer together as the show went on with them eventually becoming good friends.

Apart of me also thinks that Nate will definitely be redeemed in the end which I am perfectly fine with, but who knows they could take the character in an entirely different direction too which I would also be fine with because I trust these writers to come up with some great stuff regardless.

Lawrence conformed that when he and Ted Lasso co-creators Sudeikis, Hunt and Joe Kelly pitched the show, “we said this series was only going to be three seasons.”

Ted Lasso went on to become a commercial and critical hit. It is believed to be Apple TV+’s most popular series and just won seven Emmys for its first season, including Outstanding Comedy Series. While the massive success has not changed the original plan, it has opened the door to continuing the show beyond Season 3.

“I would probably stay clean and say that even if Ted Lasso goes on, the story the writing staff has been telling had a beginning, middle and end for the first three seasons,” Lawrence said. “And then it might veer off from that.”

Lawrence also provided a target date for the Season 3 premiere.

“We always try to be close to a year apart, so I would hope to see the show back in the August type area,” he said, noting that the show had to work around the Olympics in its Season 2 release plans.

The end of Season 2 left two popular Ted Lasso characters, team therapist Sharon (Season 2 series regular Sarah Niles) and The Independent sports writer Trent Crimm (Season 1 and 2 recurring guest star James Lance) at crossroads and seemingly out of the picture.

Lawrence confirmed that “both of them have significant roles next year.”

I'm still riding high on the free membership that I got with my new phone, but it's definitely not a streaming service that I'd subscribe to once that's expired outside of maybe paying for just one month in the future to catch up with Ted Lasso when the final season drops next year. It's really the only show I've seen on there that's worth it.

I've actually been going through some of their other shows before my membership runs out in April. See is okay and I've been enjoying Mythic Quest but Ted Lasso is the golden goose. It's their best show by a wide margin.
