Trailer was good. Got me more hyped than the teaser did... but, holy crap, Donny and Mikey's voices are WAY OFF, in my opinion. It's very jarring.

They are suppose to be legit early teens and in this case, some haven't had their voice drop yet. Love that detail.

Interestingly, the version of the trailer I got in front of Across the Spider-verse, they say "destroy everyone" instead of "kills everyone". I wonder what will be in the final movie.

I definitely get that, and that's a nice touch, I just feel like the voice actors should've been flip-flopped. Mickey to Donny, Donny to Mickey. That's all.

Two things: I’m still not feeling April’s look for this and I think they should’ve switched Raph and Mikey’s voice actors.

Aside from that, it looks fun. In a Spider Verse way.

I wonder when the advanced tickets will be out. I see for Regal theaters they are having a special sneak peek early release July 29 and on July 31 those ticket aren't out yet and only a couple of weeks away. I hope Cinemark gets the early one too since they are a bit closer to me.

Seems to be shaping up to be a really good or at least fun movie. I really like that they're actually teenagers.
I wouldn't have minded a bit more "mature" or a take (not saying it had to be as dark as the OG comics. I think people wanting that in a TMNT film are gonna be disappointed for a long time), but I do like this very fun, kid movie take.
Although I wonder if the final product will be more for teens and up like Spider-Verse.

Expectations for this are obviously lower than the big budget Michael Bay produced movies but I can see like Out Of The Shadows this being a surprise under-performer. There seems to be a lot of positive energy around this that it looks like it could be s success but the views for the various trailers are shockingly low. This mirrors Out Of The Shadows which seemingly had people hyped for the 80s cartoon in live action but when you looked at the numbers for the various trailers there just wasn't enough interest outside a few people nostalgic for a version of the property that hadn't been relevant in decades.

Also the novelization is out and let's just say if people thought some of the changes the first Michael Bay movie did to the story particularly the origin were dumb and unnecessary then this is very much in the same vein. I could see this having pretty poor word of mouth once it gets out.

Was lucky enough to attend the panel yesterday at SDCC and they showed off 20 minutes of footage which I absolutely loved!

The movie is going to be hilarious. Characters and the relationship & banter between the TMNT are on point. Loved the score as well, Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross nailed it as music switched between light 80s like synth to straight up grunge/garage type rock depending on the scenes. Lots of Easter eggs and small callbacks to previous films too

Still not a fan of Donnie’s voice. Wish they would have gotten an actor that doesn’t sound like he’s 8 years old while everyone else do sound like teens. Kinda dumb but didn’t take away from my enjoyment
