Loki is right, the T-800 just wore a glove to cover his exposed eco-hand.
Doesn't Arnie wear a glove and coat for the rest of the film after cutting his arm-flesh off? So it doesn't seem like that healed up. And we don't know exactly how much time past between the DC (which doesn't really count since it wasn't in the actual movie) and them ending up in Mexico. It might have been days, or maybe weeks. Plus we don't get a good look at the back of his head. They might have just stitched him up and his hair is hiding it.
That proves my point more than yours. He needed proper treatment or else he'd start rotting.
I don't think it does my friend. As she says it could have taken them days to get to Mexico and the wounds may have healed in that time.
She also suggested he got his head stitched after resetting his chip.
Him getting his head stitched = proper treatment
Hence they heal. After. Proper. Treatment.
Umm, I'm a guy.
.But as he said it could have taken days to heal, Pops had 33 years to re grow his arm. That was the original argument.
But a whole arm regrowing on its own is not the same as gunshot wounds and stitches healing with proper treatment.
Who said it regrew on its own? Pops could have done it himself, he had 33 years to do it.
I think the backlash against this film has been largely been unfair. I know Arnold isn't the same draw since '96-'97 but criticisms have not been very creative and seem to want to dump on the film as some sort of dull, nostalgia-driven movie as an excuse to see Arnold as the T-800 again. That's true to an extent, but I don't think it's necessarily dull.
It's not a perfect film, nor is it a particularly good one. Kyle Reese was horribly miscast and the 3rd act was rushed, however, it does turn the entire series on it's ear and does some serious re-working of the story while still staying true to the Terminator mythos, which is why this film works best as the true sequel to T2. T3 & T:S were just action movies. You don't have to like the way the story was re-worked but it's difficult to see how else this franchise can continue to move forward.
Jason Clarke was good as was the young actress who played Sarah. There are still some interesting questions left un-answered (who sent "Pops" back) or maybe they're loose ends. I doubt we will get to see these questions answered unless this movie is a juggernaut overseas, because I don't see this thing getting past $95 million domestically.
A true sequel to T2 would have been a continuation of the events from T2, picking up where it left off. This completely overwrites the events of T2. They no longer happen according to this movie.
I am so tired of people saying this is the true sequel to T2. Anyone who says that doesn't understand what a true sequel is supposed to do.
@ AVEITWITHJAMON : it's worthless to discuss or argue about trivial details such as this one with hardcore nitpickers, "they" made up their mind, T:G is trash for "them", end of story.
Terminator Genisys: Creating a Fully Digital Schwarzenegger

Interesting. I just don't get though why they needed to create a completely cgi body for the 1984 Terminator. Why not hire a bodybuilder with similar physique and height as Arnold, and just swap the face digitally. That way, there would have been some real weight to the running and moving and fighting with the old Arnold. And it would have looked more real. Would think it's cheaper to do then rendering everything with cgi. Meh.
Yes, I'm interested in knowing this as well. Tried doing a quick search but nothing came up...unless I missed something.
