10-20-2009 - Spiderman 4 using our Skycycle for early green screen testing

Spiderman 4 is using our skycycle flying system, for early green screen testing sessions. In preproduction preparation of the 4th installment of the blockbuster feature film franchise.

The Skycycle allows an actor to be spun in a circular motion either direction, then if combined with a swivel harness. The actor can be spun and flipped at the same time.

The system is fairly simple, inexpensive but very effective. Its basically a steering wheel on a pivot bearing, that a flying technician can turn or bank the actor in a desired direction. Allowing the actor to be spun in 360 degree circles, either direction. Plus they can be banked toward the direction of the turn they are flying in.

Because the system is very simply, its inexpensive to use and quick to set up. Which is always a very good option for any production, no matter how large or small the budget might be.

Spidey doing a crazy stunt or as my pals here put it...BLACK KITTY.

I can see it being more likely Kraven, than Vulture. Why would Vulture be spinning and twirling?

no vulture we already had an old geezer in a big green suit lol

Well Vulture was Raimi's original choice for a villian in SM3.....plus there are sources saying that the Hathaway casting is for Valeria Toomes.

It could go either way but it's good to know they are setting up .

i doubt they are doing anything like battle scenes, probably just swinging scenes and panning views of the city, that's all. Yes, they could do things with Vulture and black cat, it just depends on what the thing is doing, how is it movig and where it is going etc.

And there's also the photogrophy they do before shooting, looking for good places to do swinging scenes etc. Kinda like scouting.

EDIT: woops, I though it said Spydercam, that's what they use for swingong scenes, so yeah, maybe it is a fight scene. They used the same thing for the New Goblin/Peter fight in SM3 right?

sounds like the same concept they used in the Matrix Revolutions.

My bet it has to do with the Vulture, an aerial battle scene.

Why are you still holding hope for Kraven? It doesn't look good man... I am moving on from my Lizard, Kraven hopes.

FaTs... i've said who I thought it was for in the second post of this thread.

Which spiderverse characters fly, or require a lot of aerial stunts?

Spider-Man
Black Cat
Silver Sable
Vulture
Electro? (I could see a readaptation modifying his flight)
Green Goblin
Kraven
Scorpion
Morbius
Hobgoblin
Venom
Carnage

Those are all the notable ones that come to mind. Granted, it's highly unlikely to be most of those - we can essentially widdle it down to being Black Cat, Vulture, or, uh, Spider-Man.
Top that with the fact that there could be two villains - and we still have no news.... Drat....

Wow....Really. I can't wait for the tagteam of Vulture and Vulturess in the final battle. Just when I thought Raimi couldn't top SM3.
