Pffft. I bet nearly everyone who says they hated Batman and Batman Returns, actually became interested in Batman because of them.

LOL! It was on today.
I like the beginning, and the End is just mindblowing(After he leaves for home), but the middle was just...Blah.

Mars Attacks! is the nineties version of Poseidon Adventure.
All these big actors, dying left and right. I just wish i could see what happened after the film, like is Natalie Portman the new leader of the free world.
My only problem is that he never follows through with the stories, it's always a story that is told in one film. I wanna see what happens to the guy in Planet of the Apes, I wanna see what happened to Lydia and Beetlejuice.

Hell yeah, that movie is priceless.
You never watched the cartoon?

Same with Oliver Stone. He can make some really great films (JFK) and then move ontomediocre-to-downright poor films (Alexander).

Alexander was a good movie.

Thanks for:

Beetlejuice
Batman
Batman Returns
Edward Scissorhands
Ed Wood (my favorite)
Sleepy Hollow
Big Fish

You fcan take back Mars Attacks! and Planet of the Apes (remake) though.

exactly. hell thats exactly what happened to me.

Thank you for making Depp a household name. :o

Thank you for Sleepy Hollow and Big Fish. Also, thank you for helping along the talent of Johnny Depp by placing him in your films. You guys do great collaborations, and it is reflected in the box office, and by the fans. Keep up the truly great work.

I would like to thank the master Tim Burton for continue to do movies after that jackass Christopher Nolan ruined his Batman movies with "Batman Begins".

Plus point for Timmy having enough compusture and self-control to NOT beat Nolan to a bloody pulp.

Thanks for Sleepy Hollow and B89 wasn't bad  Batman Returns is my favourite "Absolutely nothing like a batman movie should be" comic book movie

I'd to thank him for making me a Batman fan. Without B89, I don't know if I would ever have had as strong a connection with Batman as I do, I don't know if I'd ever read comics, I don't know if I'd ever be posting on these boards right now. I really don't think any mere film director could ever give me anything better than that.

Thank you for Batman, Beetlejuice, Nightmare Before Christmas and Sleepy Hollow. I would've never discovered Batman if it wasn't for you. Beetlejuice was just plain hilarious and was one of first comedies I saw. Nightmare Before Christmas was a breakthrough in animation. And Sleepy Hollow was just visually stunning with great characters and story.

TIM BURTON=THE GOD :D :)

Thank you for first Batman movie, thank you for very good sequel of Batman, thank you for GREAT Edward Scissorhands, thank you for excellent Ed Wood, thank you for incredible Sleepy Hollow, thank you for fantastic Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and thank you for amazing Corpse Briden

Thank You Tim Burton for being one overratted director, Thank You for never reading a comic in your life and then make 2 crappy batman movies,Thank You Tim Burton for remaking a POS Planet Of The Apes,Thank You Tim Burton for making more crap like Edward Sissorhands,Thank You Tim Burton for making Sleepy Hollow look cool,Thank You Tim Burton for Nightmare before Christmas and Corpse Bride, even though you didn't direct them,Thank You Tim Burton for making a pervert like pee wee herman a star.

Is that under statement? Nolan bought life to Batman after Schumcher decided to kill franchise.

I like Tim Burton's two Batman films but it was schumacher who killed the Batman franchise.

Tim Burton has made some brilliant movies and the one certain to be on everyone's list is Nightmare Before Christmas. I also love Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice and Big Fish. Kudos to Danny Elfman as well who always brings Burton's film to life with music!

Yeah, I bet Batman and Robin brought some people into Batman comics as well. Thanks Joel! This is a ridiculous argument.

Should we thank Burton for NOT making a Superman film?

How so? Hell, everyone was praising the Burton films before BB came out. You'd be suprised the amount of fans Batman and BR produced.

So? How does that make them good movies? I used to love them when I was like 8 but now I watch them and I think theyre garbage. Your argument has no merit. Kust because people started liking Batman because of the Burton movies doesnt mean that today people dont think they suck. Its a ridiculous argument.

I'm not exactly talking about how good the movies are. I'm talking about who it inspired. Yeah, they're pretty bad Batman movies but hey,Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 weren't exactly ripped from the pages as well and look what those movies did in BO money.

And, I think BB is the main reason there is so much dislike for B89 and BR. Some don't want to admit it,but whatever.:o I don't want to get in a huge flame war about B89 because I realise it has it's flaws and that it isn't a Batman movie. So I'm ending it at that. :o
