i enjoy Linkara's reviews
especially when he does anything by miller or liefeld

his "One more day" review was also good

Linkara definitely goes overboard with the nitpicks, but I think he exaggerates it for the sake of comedy. I'm not saying it works, but that's what I think is going on. He's still one of my favorite reviewers on the site.

The Maven/Elisa is slowly becoming a favorite of mine. I thought I'd get tired of her vampire gimmick, but it hasn't happened yet.

I think I'm one of the few people who likes 80's Dan more than Cinema Snob, but they're both good characters/shows.

I could barely stand his OMD review. It was super long, super nitpicky, a lot of his assessments of how Peter should have dealt with May's injury and how he should have weighed his options as well as a few other things seemed incredibly cold, like that hyper-logical robot thing I was talking about, and his angry yelling at Quesada for calling nerds a bunch of losers was incredibly over the top, not entertaining, obnoxious, and came off as a little pathetic to me because, to an extent, I think Quesada had a point.

Also 80s Dan is great. I loved the Christmas special. It really should just be a straight up sitcom from now on.

Y'know, I generally don't agree with alot of the criticism that Linkara or Atop The 4th Wall gets lately. I do still really enjoy his reviews. But there is one thing that bothered me about this latest review for Guardian of Gotham #2: Why the hell did he keep bringing up Stephanie Brown's isolation from the New 52? It's not like it really fits in context, because he brought it up as if to say "DC's editorial sucks because they allowed sexualized artwork in this book but they won't allow Stephanie Brown back into the universe."

Which... is a weird dot to connect, given that not only has editorial switched hands many times since the comic he was reviewing came out, but also because Stephanie's exclusion from the main DCU or that idiotic Smallville story has nothing to do with sexualization or crappy artwork. More importantly, Guardian of Gotham's story has literally nothing in it that parallels Stephanie's situation - being that they want to put all focus on Barbara as Batgirl - so again, why bring it up at all? And twice, no less?

Bit of an odd moment that irked me. I get frustration over the Stephanie/Babs thing, and Linkara seems to never hold back when it comes to the New 52 (frankly, I don't blame him in some respects), but it was just random as hell to include in a review about some terrible Elseworlds comic where Selina Kyle and Bruce Wayne switch places.

I'm watching the second Catwoman video, and yeah the Stephanie Brown stuff comes virtually out of nowhere. And he does it several times.

I just found JesuOtaku's videos on Digimon Tamers. So many good feels.:yay:

After checking out Nostalgia Chick's Charlie's Angels vid, I'm surprised she hasn't done one for Sucker Punch.

I don't really care for the Nostalgia Chick character. Her reviews are alright though.
Also, does anyone watch Todd in the Shadows? Are his reviews any good/entertaining?

So after watching the two Boldy Flee parts, I have to say they are quite enjoyable... if it was not for the fact that almost everyones acting is atrociously over the top bad and makes me want to b****slap them all. The only one who actually has talent and charisma to pull it off is Brad Jones it seems. Too bad he gets dragged down by everyone around him.

been watching some of marzgurl's reviews today
enjoyed her don bluth series

I agree about Brad, but as far as everyone else goes isn't that pretty much how they always do on these anniversary crossovers?

I'm not expecting real acting during a production like this, but it's not that hard to tone it down a notch so it doesn't become obnoxious.

Nostalgia Chick has the same 10-year restriction on her videos that Nostalgia Critic does. Only on rare occasions do they break it, such as when doing a list/countdown or comparing something old & new.

Film Brain did a Sucker Punch review featuring JesuOtaku, and I think Blockbuster Buster did a Sucker Punch review as well.

Also, does anyone watch Todd in the Shadows? Are his reviews any good/entertaining?

I like them. He usually pulls apart popular songs that are currently topping the charts. It's especially satisfying when he breaks down every stupid thing about a song you don't like. Or even a song you like that you know deep down is kinda stupid.

Ugh, I can't stand the BB guy. He's even worse than Film Brain, who I am finding less and less tolerable.

E-Rod/Blockbuster Buster was pretty entertaining at first, but then I realized that dude fanboy rages at movies like Linkara does at comic books. And while that rage may be slightly more justified when talking about inconsistency over years of comic book storytelling, it gets tiring when you're bashing an adaptation.

Also, he talks like Fez from That 70's Show, which is a little distracting. But then not everyone can sound like Brad Jones, I guess.

E-Rod's biggest crimes are that he's not funny, and almost every single thing he does is just a reference to something else.

I'm watching Todds review of Call Me Maybe. Oh, I'm enjoying this ever so much.

Yeah, I don't care for BB at all. I like Film Brain though(except for the weird faces he makes).

Brad and Nostalgia Chick(and her crew) are probably my faves though.
Paw, Benzaie and ToddintheShadows are good sometimes.

I can't remember the last Film Brain review that I was able to sit through the whole thing. I like Todd. And I like Nash's Doctor Who Classic reviews.

todd in the shadow's review of "Deuces" by chris brown is one of my favourites
