I doubt Obama will get assassinated. After 6 years of Bush/Cheney throwing troops into 2 Middle eastern meatgrinders and no one took a shot at those guys, I doubt Obama can inspire anyone outside of established wacko baskets to go for assassination. Perhaps, but nowhere near the scale it would be if it happened in 2008. I can't remember the last time a presidential candidate captured the entire world's fascination and captivation like Obama has. Not even JFK garnered this type of global stardom.

Barack's death would send shockwaves that, again, I don't think we can fathom right now. It'd be like the deaths of Princess Diana, Martin Luther King and JFK all rolled into one blow.

And any bigot that took Obama out in favor of bringing power back to the Republican party or some other vision would be totally deluding themselves. Truth is, Barack would actually become MORE powerful in death (as a public martyr) than he is even now.
