Anything can be terrible or amazing of course. Having a low budget is just a restriction and lack of creative freedom that can be removed (by having a higher budget). The director could make an amazing or terrible movie if he kept one eye closed during the editing process but it would be a restriction that may or may not have an impact on the production. Not having to keep that eye closed would mean no impact. And if story is king then you can hire a better writer if you have a higher budget.I try not worry too much about budgets. Some films have huge budgets and are terrible. Others have tiny ones and are amazing. The story is always king

Remember how Wonder Woman referenced the original superman movie? Which callbacks would you like to see Aquaman do?
I think it would be cool to see a scene similar to the scene in batman begins when Bruce is surrounded by bats except with arthur surrounded by stingrays and fish as he learns to control his powers

You know... Thinking on that I don't care if others thought it was cheesy, that could be a beautiful visual.

Maybe it's jut me but... I hope the color grading of the film tones that down. That shade is just a smidge away from the piss poor Medusa wig from Inhumans. There's red hair and then there's a color not found in the natural world. It's too close to the latter.
I sort of think the world of Aquaman isn't the natural world. Also red is the color water blocks first so maybe they need a strong red so it looks red on film for the underwater scenes.
