The All Encompassing AQUAMAN Movie Thread - Part 6

I don't see anyone moving unless tracking says something troubling. Plus I'm not sure moving a week is going to help much at this point. The only way to help is get out of December and I don't see that happening.

I haven't looked at what is coming out before and after December lately though so I don't know.

Honestly the only movie I see really hurting Aquaman directly is Bumblebee and since I know zero people who like that franchise I have no feel for it. I just am not that worried about Mary Poppins since that is a kids film.

There's something new every week in later December, it's ridiculous. :funny:
But The Greatest Showman, Jumanji and TLJ could coexist well last December.

You're right, at this point WW has more negative clickbait articles than Aquaman.
People being negative is a normal thing, but as long we won't have any equivalent of WW's armpit hair 'controversy' then we are in a tranquil time.

It will be interesting to see if they'll explain the significant costume change for Mera.

One word. Merchandise.

To heavy? Wrecked by SW? It’s her No.1 so not wearing it to land? Puny humans don’t deserve to look at sir Wilkinson’s creation?

Ya they need something like a well cut final trailer like SS’s final SDCC one, sweet and to the point. Cutting down an awesome long trailer/clip for theatrical showings is always jarring, eg BvS SDCC trailer and the first AM trailer.

They will prob release 20 tv spots too lol, with all the jokes included.

The new clip reminds me of the first Thor marketing I loved its 4min clip. I was starting to lose enthusiasm for AM until this clip, so good move WB, esp when BB had a great one recently.

Costumes can be changed from move to movie. Lady Sif had different costume in Thor and Thor 2, not only that she had many different costumes within a movie.

I have seen some people criticize the rooftop chase scene as too CGI and fake, well it was done on real location with built-up sets, but with added CGI effects. So, it's not 100 % CGI. I have posted several images in the thread Here

This twitter response also gives some more info about the scene.

Hope this addresses the "fake", CGI rooftop chase complaints.

Just found out that Scottish actor Graham McTavish is playing King Atlan in this movie.

Unite the Seven under-water kingdoms. It's amazing that since the time BvS went into production, they had an outline about Aquaman movie. (and some people say that DC can't plan ahead.)

The above poster was released at the time of Batman V Superman (2016).

I remember you arguing this at the time the trailer came out, fair play!

Cool poster but the positioning of the logo makes him look like his "A" belt buckle is gigantic, lol.

I think that's the idea.

Momoa looks cool. The problem is when he opens his mouth.

No worries, going forward WB will make Momoa the stiff, brooding silent type to combat the likeable bro complaints... :o:word:

Fake abs never fail to crack me up. It's funny to me how they always put them on men's costumes but rarely on women's. If we go by costumes, apparently the men are the only superheroes expected to have toned abs.

Wonder Woman's abs is splendid though. :ilv:

But yeah, rarer on female costume.
