The All-Encompassing AQUAMAN Movie Thread - Part 7

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

i need the full movie omg

I say no to Apokolips...right now that would tie in too much to Justice League. Maybe if the New Gods film actually gets made and is successful (things I highly doubt right now) then you could swing it but otherwise I say no. I also dont think you should have those two cross over I would rather Wonder Woman maybe crossed over with Shazam or something. For one thing the Gods aspect works well plus I think the idea of Wonder Woman teaming up and mentoring Billy (since it would appear Clark cant do it) would be rather unique and a real fun play on the genre. Plus imagine young Billy red in the face all the time because he is around WonderGal ;)
I'm still holding out hope for Cavill and WB to work something out especially after Momoa vehemently ensured us that Cavill is still in and as a result hopefully get Superman in a future shazam if not the upcoming one.

So, here's a wild idea that I'm curious on your guys' thoughts on. We all want another shot at a Justice League movie but....what if...instead of a JL movie they did sort of a "proto" JL movie instead? What I mean is, what if they did an Aquaman/ Wonder Woman team-up film but a big ambitious one where its not simply just a team up between those two, its a team up of Atlanteans and Amazons against a huge threat like...oh say...Apokolips' forces. And then maybe they can squeeze another leaguer in there, maybe Flash or Cyborg or something and see how that does? I'm only suggesting it because Arthur and Diana are now DC's stars and maybe it'd be prudent after WW '84 and AQ 2, that it leads to this big team-up between these two mythic worlds. Think the History lesson from JL but on a larger scale and a whole movie built around it. I'm just imagining a big third act set piece where Arthur and Diana are leading their respective armies into battle against some huge threat on some LoTR type scale. I think that'd be a pretty wicked idea and THEN if that movie does well, that could in turn lead to another Justice League film with the rest of the crew in 2024 or something.

Thoughts?

I'd have Gal chopping Amber's head off for the shock effect, and to be comic book accurate

*Joker voice* and let the world see the real Wonder Woman

=P

There's a BTS on youtube but I don't know if there's any swearing there so I cannot link it, it's called 'b-roll' or something

Wow, i have just now seen that aquaman wont be nominated for best vfx oscar. And black panther is. I LOVED that film but the cgi in it has NOTHING on aquaman.
This is a freakin travesty.

Now I want BP to win that Oscar so that Ampas's bias and tragique decision making is full exposed

Seriously thought, BP has really messy CGI at best, that last action sequence was atrocious. Aquaman, while not perfect, really has some beautifully done CGI.

What else was nominated?

Love Temeura as Tom Curry and he is just so believable as Jason's dad...like you would really think they were father and son...best casting choice for Tom in my opinion

He also worked with Jason on recent season of Frontier

I didn't realise this was out in time to be considered. Isn't there some sort of cut off date that nominations have to be submitted by?

Some people say it was out in time. Grace Randolph says she knows it for a fact. i know a lot of people dislike her, but she seems pretty reliable lately with her info.

Aquaman was on time and was submitted by the studio. AMPAS chose other films over it
