Looks like Hammer is not Better Than Ezra

It’s not strange. A court found Depp to be a wife beater prior to him filming FB3, so he was dropped. There were no similar court rulings against Heard or Ezra prior to them filming their roles, so they were not dropped.

but with Ezra the first attack (that we knew about) was well before the flash movie started filming. At that point WB released no statement nor did they investigate as far as we know. I mean lionsgate just paused an entire movie because of accusations toward bill murray. If WB reshot an entire justice league movie to give it a lighter tone well after it was shot then they can now do it again to remove this joker entirely with a recast.

They cannot release this movie next year with a alleged child groomer with allegations of assault in Hawaii as their main hero to kids. If this was the other superhero studio this would have been addressed after the first incident.

Frankly, I always thought Keaton returning to play Batman at 70 years old was kinda dumb.

That’s fair, but the fact of the matter is Keaton coming back to play the role was one of the key hooks(if not the only key hook) that could make anybody even care about seeing a Flash movie starring Ezra Miller, let alone even get the film off the ground in first place. Now, we’re debating whether or not they should even release a film that features Keaton’s return to his most iconic role. I mean…this is comic book movie forum thread - We’re supposed to be wondering about trivial stuff like how the Speed force will be used, or which cameos we will be seeing, not whether the film will ever even see the light of day because of the real life misbehavior of the actor who plays the titular character. It’s insane.

I don’t know why you think Disney is any better. RDJ got in bed naked and intoxicated with a child. Pratt exposed himself to Amy Poehler on set without her consent. Brolin and Bale have both been arrested for domestic abuse. And last I checked Hammer was still in Death on the Nile.

All these studios are the same.

first Downey is the greatest example of showing and proving to do better after he landed ironman and the greatest reform story I know of.

bale and brolin i cant speak to as im truly not informed enough on those claims and hammer was easy to hide from marketing and press as he wasnt the main star and death on the nile was completely finished and obviously not launching a whole new cinematic universe.

And. . . yeah, I feel like the marginal benefit of the doubt I was giving Miller over the grooming accusation has been used up. Nevermind my earlier contention that assuming Miller must be an addict overlooks the possibility that he's just an *******; now its increasingly looking like he might be a complete psychopath.

Yeah I mean maybe he gets lost in the speed force for like 20ish years but it’s only a few seconds in real time. I really wouldn’t mind that. Feel like it’s at least a tiny bit easier to age the character up rather than bringing in a whole new person.

For real. A month ago this whole thing his was salvageable, but right now it isn't. WB could cancel this movie and just give up on the DCEU, but they still need to release Black Adam, Shazam 2, Aquaman 2, Batgirl, Peacemaker S2 and Wonder Woman 3. So we're stuck with this nonsensical universe for a while.

That's the only logical reason to disappear at a time like this instead of complying with the temporary restraining order and making a public statement refuting the grooming allegations.

I don't think they should cancel the other movies at all. I just think it sucks that we're stuck with this cinematic universe.The Flash was supposed to fix things, we were supposed to get a cohesive universe out of this.
