Man all these awesome posters. Man WB is pulling out all the stops with the marketing on this thing. Where was this enthusiasm with Shazam and Black Adam? :funny:

It did when they saw the cuts of the films ;)

dig that they appear to be giving keaton's batman some character development in this.
he's not exactly the same guy he was in burton's films.

Sounds like people are going to come out of this hungry for more Keaton. Zaslav’s gonna be kicking himself for shelving Batgirl.

I say go all in. After Beetlejuice 2 is done get Burton, Keaton and Pfieffer back and greenlight one final one Batman 3 movie to close out the Burton trilogy.

Gunn clarified De Luca and Abdy are not in charge of Joker 2, him and Safran are.

I didn't catch that in any interview. Truly, I'm still on the fence with Gunn and Safran. I haven't loved anything from Gunn so far, but I'm certainly rooting for Superman: Legacy.

With that said, my point still stands... there's money to be made from Keaton while he's still in good shape.

As cool as a Batman Beyond might be, I do feel that between The Batman Part 2 and Brave and the Bold, that train has sailed considering how 3 different Batman franchises going on at the same time would indeed be oversaturation at this point.

It wouldn't have to be a franchise. A one off Elseworlds film would suffice. And it doesn't even need to be Batman Beyond.

Perhaps a better solution would be a 6 to 8 part limited series on MAX. Leave a dump truck full of money on Keaton's doorstep, give him a producer credit, maybe even rope in Burton as a creative consultant. I do think that IF the nostalgia train continues rolling... all DC really have now (that can pack a punch) is Keaton. Kilmer is no longer fit enough and Clooney would get a big shrug from general audiences. Bale would be massive, but I really can't see him budging without Nolan.

They can't even lean on the DCAU anymore with the loss of Kevin Conroy. Now, this certainly forces Gunn and Co. to chart new territory which is so important for these characters to continue thriving. But I still think Keaton has one more adventure left in him.

I will note that pre-sales on The Flash so far aren't that impressive per Box Office Theory forums so I'm not even sure that Keaton is generating that much "let's rush to see this in theaters" buzz, but I guess opening weekend will tell.

Nahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, give me all of the Batmen.

Bat Family > (greater) DC Universe - always and forever.

A Batman Beyond movie would have the kind of nostalgia that the disney remakes have, which is more it’d have going for it than B&TB which just seems like another Batman reboot. But I can’t see it happening even if The Flash makes mega bucks, since Gunn’s Batman will be a big part of his universe going forward

I think further Keaton stuff would be better on Max. There are stories to tell.

Batgirl is NOT one of them. I'm honestly glad it was shelved.

What we need is Into The Bat-Verse

I may be alone on this, but as much as I love the art direction, the "10,000 Spider-Men Multiverse Extravaganza" is a huge turn-off to me...
I know there's probably a solid story at the heart of it but... I don't know.

And don't tell anyone... I fell asleep in front of the first Spider-Verse.
Not the film's fault, but at the same time I could never bring myself to see it again...

Worst of all, I'm the first to complain that big budget animation isn't diverse enough in styles, and when something unique finally comes out... Heh.

I can't bring myself to be happy that any film featuring a Keaton Batman performance has been locked away forever.

At least with his departure prior to the production of Batman Forever left everything he had done on the table, but our current situation leaves us with truly unfinished business. Unseen performances, storylines suggested but never happening and the rumors of a Keaton/Pfeiffer reunion.

That is a much more bitter pill to swallow than a gracious exit from the role in 1994. A final movie/limited series would certainly ease the pain though.

Id rather they not do a third batman film.

A high budget hbo show though... id be down for that.

And yea although kind of sick of bat focus at DC best bet for a Spiderverse is probably something batman related

Trust me I get it, but he deserves better than a co-star in a low budget made for TV movie. He proved that in this film. He has an interesting story post Returns and they only briefly scratch the surface in this film.
