Oh I knew that. But being raised on land still makes no sense to me. I've always thought aquaman being different due to being raised underwater was an important part of his character. But I'm by no means an aquaman expert.

Arthur was raised human so he's different among the Atlanteans. He can achieve peace between land and sea since he's from both places. He doesn't hate people on land.

DC is going to have an animated movie, Throne of Atlantis. Looks like it's going to tell that story.

Ummm... I understand about the achieving peace thing, and of course he's not really a hater, but..... Isn't there supposed to be a part of Aquaman that isn't human? How does that work if he's raised on land?

At first, he feels alienated because he doesn't know where he belongs. Then, Arthur learns more about Atlantis and that his mother was the Queen. He has a responsibility to the King of Atlantis because of his royal bloodline which makes him stronger than other Atlanteans. Being King also gives him the opportunity to get in touch with his Atlantean side.

The JLU Aquaman seemed much older and jaded. Maybe for some reason he got betrayed and kept to Atlantis. Plus, he had to cut off his hand.

Interesting but the casting choice leads me to believe they're going more for the JLU version. Which is where most of my knowledge from aquaman comes from, so I'm. Cool with it.

It depends on how old they make him. In JLU, he already had a son with Mera.

I came across this video while on Youtube.

It's pretty much a compilation of several quotes that Snyder made on video regarding Superman, and if he stays true to his word for this film (and for the JL film), then I think any fan of Superman s shouldn't be worried about how Snyder is going to portray Superman in this film, despite Batman being in it.

I don't think Batman or Superman fans have to worry about either character being short changed. And the same goes for Wonder Woman, even if she has a reduced role.

Right now, pretty much all my thoughts on this movie are positive. I'm in the camp that genuinely loved MOS, so continuing on from the groundwork laid down there is something I'm very interested in. I love Cavill as Supes and Amy as Lois especially, so no matter what else happens in this movie, as long as we get plenty of them, I'll probably be happy. The other casting choices have ranged from the surprising (Affleck) to the shocking (Eisenberg) to the unknown (Gadot). But for me, when I think about all of them, I think I can see why the actors were chosen. In the end it will depend on how they are used.

As for the talent behind the scenes, the film will look and sound great with Snyder and Zimmer working on it. Of that much I'm certain. The script? Well, I still like Goyer (at least most of the time) but I will certainly acknowledge that there are aspects of the MOS script that could have been improved, though the same could be said for most other CBMs, regardless of whether certain posters want to admit it. So I'm glad Terrio was brought in to either punch up Goyer's work, or completely rewrite it. The only thing that makes me a little nervous is that Terrio has only written one screenplay before. And while it was no doubt a great one, that's still a lot of faith to be placing in a writer with a limited resume.

But all in all, I'm very optimistic about this film, and those that will follow. Comic book fans overall don't seem to know what they want... they trashed WB/DC for years for not announcing a slate of movies like Marvel did. But then they do so, and they get trashed for announcing too much. Then Marvel does THE EXACT SAME THING a couple weeks later and the world rejoices. Now, granted, Marvel HAS proven more so than DC (up to this point) that they can create a huge, interlocking universe for these characters. But there is nothing here to suggest that DC can't. Even if you didn't like MOS, there are plenty of other characters and movies in the works to be excited about, if you allow yourself to be. I'm certainly pumped for Suicide Squad now, especially after seeing David Ayer's brilliant film Fury and hearing that the film might introduce our new Joker (Leto!).

So for the people who are worried or depressed or angry or whatever... try to relax a bit. It's a great time to be a superhero fan. I finally feel like OUR time has come, because we finally have the technology and talent to really bring these characters to life onscreen. When I used to read a lot of comics (back in the early 90s) superhero movies were mostly garbage (Batman & Robin, The Phantom, etc.). Now, we're in the golden age.

Beyond the fact that I hope Snyder doesn't apologize for Man of Steel, you can say I'm.....somewhat excited for this movie AND the movie that looks to be proceeding it (Suicide Squad). :)

But... but... but... he MUST apologize for Man of Steel. A lot of fictitious people died that day!

I didn't think I would be interested in SS, but I'm getting more interested in it day by day.

I love Cavill in the role! but I'd like him to have more humanity in the sense of flaws and less stoicism.

Affleck as Batman should be good and the costume looks amazing.

Gadot, I dunno. I look for the best in things, sure she's not a bodybuilder but eh I don't care. Costume looks fine.

Eisenberg as an actor is good hopefully he's cunning and arrogant and forceful.

My excitement for film mainly Is for batman as batman Is my favorate DC property.Although I was kind of Meh on man of steel. With better writer this
time I am remaing postive for this film despite how i felt on Man of steel.

This film will determine how i feel on DCCU.And hopefully I will also care about the non-Batam related projects.

The surcide squad has my attention with latest news.

I'm more of a DC fan, but I'm probably one of the few who likes Superman and Wonder Woman more than Batman.

I like how excited the fan base is about the movie, and the future plans DC have in store. That itself is a positive.

Seeing my two favorite superheroes on the screen together is a flat out dream come true. And I'm looking forward to seeing how the story continues from Man of Steel and expands the DC Film universe.

I like how the film is more of a blank slate in terms of story. Man of Steel was all about HOW they were gonna tell the story, BVS is more about WHAT that's gonna be. It's harder to guess what they're doing and the plot will have a real chance to be surprising.

Yeah. Last time we had a good idea of the story based on set photos and the origin being retold. This story can go in any direction.

Ignoring all the rumor mongering and rank speculation, I must say I like everything I've heard about the movie so far.
