Because with all the money spent making & promoting this movie it should be doing better numbers. More specifically, it should've crossed $200 million domestically, but it can't even pull that off.

$673 million ain't good for Spider-Man yo. Especially when most of that is coming from overseas & they ain't even making good money on the home front.

This movie isn't even going to out-gross TASM, and its opening weekend had a 22% drop from what TASM earned opening weekend.

It's still very early in the year. Right now, Amazing Spider-Man 2 is the second highest grossing film of the year. But expect it to get knocked down by X-Men: Days of Future Past, Transformers: Age of Extinction, the Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, the Hobbit: Battle of Five Armies, and I think that Interstellar and Guardians of the Galaxy are going to be very big and surpass Amazing Spider-Man 2 as well.

Desolation of Smaug did $950 million. The Battle of Five Armies will be over TASM2 easily.

That is a bold claim. Fellowship made $871 million. The Two Towers made $961 million and Return of the King made $1.1 billion. An Unexpected Journey made $1.01 billion, while Desolation of Smaug made $950 million. Other than fellowship, this franchise hasn't had a film earn less than $900 million. If you think people are tired of the Tolkien franchise or that Spider-Man will outperform Battle of the Five Armies, then you will be sorely disappointed come the end of the year.

I think 700 million is a given now has we only need like 26 million more and the movie should have sever more weeks in the usa but still a big dissoptment that after having the orging over after asm1 and having less compation then the first one had that the movie is going to make less. I know that spider man had xmen and Godzilla to go agest but xmen and Godzilla is now avengers and dark knight rises. I am going to say that the movie finishes with USA 205 outside 510 for 715 told.

Yeah I thought spidey was going to make no less then 800 million and had a 50% changes at a billion but that was when I thought the movie was going to be like 90% on RT and was going to have great world of mouth.

I would have said the same on box office, although I never expected it to get 90% on RT, at least 70s though with a fair shot at 80s.

What's nice though is that TASM2 still ranks within the Top10 of all Marvel comics films to date. Currently it ranks #8, right before Thor2 and Iron Man 1+2.

Yeah I thought this was going to go down has a top 5 CBM ever and maybe even be better then sm2 I just thought the trailers looked really awesome. I don't agree with the reviews at all though and belive that the movie should be around 90. Even though I don't think sm3 is has bad has people say it is I do see the problems that people talk about but I fell like the are not has bad has people say. With this movie I don't even see the so called problems the movie is chessy? lol spider man 1-3 where way more chessy and people didn't complain . If this movie is chessy then sm 1-3 are power ranger chessy lol and they say the story is messy? SM 3 had way more problems with the story then this movie has. I would have beted $1000 that the movie would make more and get higher scores then both cap2 and xmen. I have never been this shocked with a movie before. When spider man 3 came out I thought it would get great reviews but after I saw it I understood why it didn't where with this movie I don't understand why it didn't get great good reviews.

Another way to look at the down fall of spider man movies is that I belive that sm 1-3 where 3erd in world wide boxoffice the years they came out behind like lord of the rings and harry potter or something and asm1 was 7th and it looks like this movie could end up like 10th maybe even a little worse. Transformers, xmen, plant of the appes, Godzilla, could all make more and I now there are some other movies that could maybe make more to that I just cant think of.

It is going to end up a few million above those numbers on each account most likely. That is struggling. $203m domestic, $710m WW is struggling.

actually guardians have been around since 1969 but not this team, this team is the 2008 version, but it's still very unknown
