more.. rendering? i dunno the lingo. i just think it looks fake still. i'm not the only one. the only reason i mentioned the shot is because they said it has been worked on for 8 months. if you think it looks finished then more power to you; im the one who is potentially going to be thinking "this looks fake" and not "yay, first shot of spider-man!" come april - which sucks

have you seen the shot from where the actors talk about the trailer? there is a part where you can see the transition between the free fall(which seems to be a practical shot) and then it goes cgi? i thinks its looking way less fake with him seeing shooting the web before he swings up in the air than the cut scene from the trailer itself

I actually really like the look of all of the villains in the movie. Harry Goblin actually looks pretty cool and I see the unfinished armour as a sort of intended metaphor of not being the complete Goblin as such.

I'm not sure if this has already been brought up...but after reading that Hans Zimmer article last month, I was under the impression that he was scoring the TASM trailer and that's why they chose to delay it, but I just read that it wasn't his work in the new trailer? It's from "Brand X Music", I wonder what happened...

I love the chaos in this thread lol. I enjoye the first movie but really have no desire to go back and rewatch it, I'm like that with majority of comic book movies though, they're good for a fun watch but I never really LOVE them I guess idk. From the trailer alone and not having looked into much about this film AS2 is looking leaps and bounds better IMO. Can't wait for it.

I feel a tad underwhelmed. In terms of villains, visuals and sheer content, the trailer definitely delivers, but the emotional themes that they seem to be teasing are absolutely nothing new. "Being Spider-man is so hard...", blah blah. Mopey monologues yet again? And didn't Connors already call dibs on rants about how "the world will soon be without (insert whatever)"? Give the villains something cool to say for a change, jeez. No one will be quoting that generic crap as much as they did "I'm Gotham's reckoning!" or "Why so serious?", that's for sure.

The reveal of Richard Parker's secret lair is just goofy, but the actor's delivery is great and he almost makes that subplot sound good. Let's see how that goes. The vibe of the whole thing just comes off as... busy. Really busy. Maybe too busy?

I'm ready to shut up about Rhino, though. I don't know what it is about his presence in this movie that gives me such a nerd *****. He looked awesome, just what I wanted. And I definitely don't agree about the effects, they look good. CGI will look like CGI.

In terms of the actors I would associate with playing Vulture, he is not at the top. When they announced Malkovich back in the day, I thought, 'well, this will be a perfect translation from comic to page.' Feorge has this calm and chilling screen persona that I would not automatically associate with Vulture (I always think of the Malkovich rage.) But, if he brought the chill factor of Andre Linoge from Storm of the Century to Vulture, he would make the character terrifying.
