Peter's left webshooter short circuits before he fires any webs when Electro hits him with some electricity. I wonder if he'll be just using his right webshooter during the times square battle. That could be awesome and could bring about some tense scenes imo.

EDIT: Rewatched it again. He does fire a web and it conducts the electricity which short cuts his left webshooter. His in trouble.:funny:

This kinda makes up for the fact that his web shooters were barely explored in TASM1.

Oh balls! just wrote a really long post in the other thread when it closed. Don't you hate it when that happens? Damn.

On the whole origin was his legacy thing, why can't it be that Richard Parker was experimenting on the spiders, not himself or his son. Just the spiders. Anyone who walked in that room, who got bit by a spider that had a spark of radioactivity could have had spider powers.

Now Osborn knows the spiders alone aren't enough, (or as found out by TASM, the finished equation), Richards son gets bit, think his son is special, that something is in his blood. In reality, it's not his blood that is the cure, it's the spider with a drop of radioactivity in its blood. The spiders blood. As long as the spider got shocked, anyone could have been a 'successful cross-species'.

Even in the deleted scene, I think this is what Ratha was reffering too when he said 'It's working quite well on you, did you ever stop and wonder why? Do you have any idea what you really are?' Richard's research was so close, Ratha is under the impression it is Parker's blood, or something in him, and maybe Richard, that made it successful but it's not. It was the spider.

A real problem for him especially as Electro is airborne, moving around freely.

This.

And then I'm assuming at some point, Spider-Man is going to use the hose from the fire engine to defeat Electro? I could see that happening.

Based on what we've seen, I feel like the times square scene is going to be at least 7 or 8 minutes long. Not just the fight, but Electro himself finding his way there, talking to the cops, etc…

That shot of him levitating the truck was pretty neat!

This is win soo much win

I figured by the time Electro gets his costume Peter would have found a way for his webs to slow Electro down or contain him. You clearly see in the new trailer he quickly rips out of them and strikes back at Peter. This is going to be a good matchup for him.

That's probably what we're seeing here:

EDIT: Also, [BLACKOUT]there was a scene in the storyboards that shows Spider-Man punching Electro in the face. Does this mean he makes his costume non-conductive at some point as well?[/BLACKOUT]

Ummmm I dunno, I think he'll wrap his fist with some webs. I doubt he can make direct contact with Electro without getting electrocuted.

Or put on a pair of Hulk hands... MCU CONFIRMED! :D

I mean, he DOES [BLACKOUT]punch Electro[/BLACKOUT], so your theory about wrapping his fit in webbing could totally be right.

Look at this TV Promo for TASM 2 that came out in Spain.

It has no footage (although it has part of Electro's theme), it's just Spider-Mans playing football (soccer for americans), but I found it funny lol

PD: They're Iniesta, Valdés, Arbeloa and Diego Lopez.

Wow, that was awesome!

THAT's how you appeal to European countries!

Isn't it interesting how Spider-Man tends to do better overseas than in his own country (USA)?

What's the overseas population compared to the USA? I don't understand how the domestic number is ever supposed to overcome it.

Not what I meant. The films tend to make more and more overseas while the domestic gross has been decreasing since SM1.
