I don't get that feeling brah. People are ALWAYS going to have something to say. That's how it is...I'm unfazed by negative reviews and from what I can see people LOVED IT.
It almost seems like 3 out of 10 reactions are negative already, but that might be because I saw a couple negative reactions in a row. I haven't actually counted up all the reactions, but if there are some negative reactions this early on, it doesn't seem like this movie will be seen as "Spidey's TDK"

I wish Twitter was around when the first Superman movie came out, or Batman or even Spider-Man.

Does anyone want to guess the RT now? I say somewhere below 85%. If we are lucky.

TeeKay, maybe posting a review is not dangerous now. Of course, you have been in the London premiere, so no problem right?

@PeterBenParker

Trust me, Spider-Man 2 was boring, lifeless, poorly acted and short on spectacle. Unearned pay-off(s) too. #Spider-Man2

You always focus more on negatives than positive, ask some directors or actors about it ^^

Some people are just plain mean though, some of those comments are just mindboggling, you can tell a lot will enjoy trashing the movie because they decided before seeing it they wouldn't like it.

But in the end, it will be a very vocal negative minority, as always.

I hope it doesn't reach MOS levels of polarizing. That's what I'm worried about.:csad:

Not gonna lie, it's weirdly nice to read these negatives too. I don't know why.

It makes the reactions seem for legitimate. Not just blind love, which from what I hear is usually what you get. Like people citing how GL and MoS got such glowing early reactions, then weren't received critically as high as ppl had hoped.

I absolutely love seeing these reactions, but I honestly don't care at all. I'm gona form my own opinion, and can almost guarantee I love it

@forgot10 @AF :
Yeah that's probably exactly the reason. Makes it much human and at the same time you can actually see what you might like based off their dislikes.

@levi :
All good man. I support the negatives!

The RT will be 8%.

RT ratings are like Golf right? You win by having a lower score.

Cap got some bad reviews and it's sitting at a cool 88 score. Negative reviews will happen. It's fine. There are so many positive reactions that imo it really doesn't matter what the negative ones say. Who cares!

Honestly, the reaction is majorly very positive right now, the few select very negative ones are so vehement in their hate that it makes it hard not to question the state of the mind of the person watching it.

You just know some of those people are gunning for the movie and have been doing so ever since TASM. Just stating facts.

You're making assumptions about their whole mindset based on some tweets, how is that stating facts?

Yeah, it seems a bit divisive so far... but the people who dig it really seem to dig. They aren't "It's aiight"-type reactions. I guess that's a pretty good omen.

That would really suck as a Spidey fan, but I honestly don't care if that's the case, because I loved MoS despite the negativity. If that's the case here, so be it, but I'll be happy bc I have a new Spider-man movie to love

i assume some didn't like the attempt at opening the comic universe

The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Liked it, didn't love it. Much better than the first. Comic book tone is problematic at times.

@PeterBenParker

Lol what a joke. He said it was poorly acted yet there are other critics who say the exact opposite. One of the best things about TASM was the acting. All the actor's in this movie are extremely talented to say it's poorly acted? This guy is clearly not a fan and THAT'S OK. E's ok.....

Some guys make call it pessimistic but I am being realistic
Its gonna get a worse reception that TASM

TASM actually had mostly positive reactions, even the RT was at 93% till 40-45 odd reviews

Just hope thia stays in the 70s

If I was you guys, the only true opinion that matters for this film is mine. I ain't trying to boast myself but I disliked TASM1. I did. Some of y'all didn't. So if I end up liking this film, you can tell it's going in the right direction.

"An engaging comedy-drama constantly interrupted by a massive action movie"

So.... Peter Parker's life?

Sounds perfect, then.

Can I borrow that drug or crystal ball you used to come up with that? That's quite a talent. :yay:
