There's no desire to see those movies right now. If the characters were well established, then it would be different IMO.

I don't really care how well established they are, I have no interest in seeing feature length films based on Spider-Man's villains or supporting characters.

agreed, although Black Cat would be established in the "Black Cat" movie. I do think that Sinister Six right now is too soon. We still need to set up the villains and cramming them all in one movie is bogus. They need to be introduced in each TASM film, and then they would come together in SINISTER SIX wayyy down the road.

I'm talking about Felicia Hardy being well established in a Spider-Man movie before Black Cat hits the big screen. She was in TASM2 for like what? 3-5 minutes. I have no desire to see her on the big screen yet. Sony needs to introduce her and make her a likable character, then a movie would probably work.

Marvel has done that with Black Widow. If a movie came out tomorrow with BW, I'd be in line to see it.

I don't think I'd ever wish to see a Sinister Six or Black Cat movie, regardless of how they set it up.

Well, TS6 would be the next logical move, if all talks have indeed broken down with Marvel...and I say that because, Sony is going to want to present something for their 2016 slate, which is currently TS6; and, would provide them with the time they need, to either patch things up with Andrew or recast him for a ASM3 flick for 2018 I believe it is.

Please everyone, don't take this as me advocating TS6 film, just presenting the number of possibilities.

I see your point and i agree with you. I wish they do that in TASM3 (if it happens) and they do it like they did in Iron Man 2, sort of have her team up with Spider-Man like in Spectacular Spider-Man show.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Black Cat or Venom spin-off. It's just how they execute it is the problem.

I think the truth is that there is a lot of infighting with Sony with their executives in different camps on the issue. Some want a deal. Some (ex. Arad) want to continue with TASM3 and an expanded universe. Some want no deal, but want to reboot. Add in all the other problems and a possible shakeup in management that could easily occur this year. That's why these reports contradict each other. Sony is divided. We don't know what is happening because Sony doesn't know.



Yeah, me too. There needs to be an official announcement or something happens that makes it clear what direction they are going in. Until then we are all just guessing.

Arad still wants a Venom movie.

Not sure if you guys have seen this (or care) but the possibility of playing Black Cat was brought up in a Felicity Jones interview the other day.

Agent Venom, I could maybe see. Other than that though and even there you want the main Spider-Man franchise on surer footing, I agree with you. These spin-offs are a really bad idea.
