It's been three days and I have gained about 300 posts. That's 100 posts a day. I'm going to get this new avatar in no time!

Back in 08 when the economy crashed, people were getting rid of their comic books like there was no tomorrow. That was a great time to be buying, I got a good deal of my collection back then.
I really need to start doing this, because I'm a HUGE spiderman fan and I've read all of the comics, but I only have a few books some posters and an expensive figure. That's about it
My Tolkien collection is pretty stocky though, and those books are crazy expensive.
Well it's all at my parents house a few hundred miles away from where I live, but here are some recent pictures of my collection (not including the stuff at my house now) that I took not that long ago:
Like I said, I'm a pretty big Spider-man fan lol. My prize possessions (which you can sort of see in the pictures) are ASM 36 (first Romita Spider-man), issue 122 (death of the Green goblin) Issue 252 (first black suit) and issue 300 (first appearance of venom). You can't really tell from those pics but I'd say 85% of those in the longboxes are Spider-man, and the rest are various Avengers and Batman comics.![]()

I think I've had a slight change of heart as to the whole spidey situation. For good reason, I've felt that sony's only option to make a quality film would be to surrender creativity to marvel. Thinking back, maybe they're too greedy for a marvel deal, but they still know that they need a return to quality. Maybe they won't surrender creativity to marvel, but I don't think in their current state that it's out of the question for them to surrender creative control to a quality director and team of writers. Maybe with Arad in the house that's wishful thinking. And believe me, I still really want this MCU deal.
All I'm saying is that, maybe all hope isn't lost if the deal doesn't work out. Maybe.

So what does this mean for Sinister Six?

Not sure, to be honest. We don't even know if Black Cat was even going to be used.
I think you meant Sinister Six? Well we have a godzilla sized Sandman, duh. "**** you, magic."WB is gonna have Batfleck, Will Smith, and a new Joker in Suicide Squad with also the live action debut of Harley.
What does Suicide Squad have going for them?
I just can't imagine Sony not getting their dirty hands mixed in to the production of the next Spider-Man film.
For Spider-Man 1 & 2, Sony was not desperate. They were in a good financial state and were happy to let Sam Raimi make the movies he wanted to make. When they saw the critical success of the second film, they wanted to make the third much bigger, and they got involved to see if they could make even more money. That didn't work.
By the time TASM1 came out, things were different. Sony almost went bankrupt, and they couldn't take a chance at letting a filmmaker do what he wants. They got someone with little experience (Marc Webb) and basically gave us a movie that should have given directing credits to the studio. "The Amazing Spider-Man: Directed by Sony Pictures, featuring Marc Webb." The same thing basically happened with the sequel. If they reboot again, then Sony is in an even worse state than back in 2012.
TASM2 wasted the talent of 2 Oscar nominating actresses. Just think about this.
And yes, Emma was wasted as Gwen. Her whole arc revolved around getting into Harvard. First off, you put in applications before you graduate. Second a college can only accept so many students. It's best to apply early so you get it. Third, Harvard does interviews to get it in the Winter and the film took place in the summer. Fifth, even if she got in, she had to visit Harvard before being accepted. Sixth, even if she got in, you can't just sign up for classes. You gotta be in some like freshmen presentation thing or whatever just some meeting. Seventh, if she signed up for classes because how late she was in getting in it's likely that either A it's too late to register for them or B the classes are filled up.
God it's like the writers never did any research or even attended college.

It's all very likely that they will get their hands in it, and they will make a mess. But maybe, just maybe, they'll find someone with actual talent who can take the franchise to new heights for them creatively. I say, start with a new producer. Clean house and find someone who knows spiderman.

Woah, what did I miss? I leave for a couple minutes and come back to almost a whole page of Daltonio love. Maybe I've been too nice.No problem. I gotta say, you're handling the constant quashing of your Spidey dreams like a trooper. I also have to say, you're a model SSH poster. You're in constant opposition with the other users in terms of what you want to happen, yet you're never nasty or trollish. In fact, you're nice in general. Keep up the good work!

Thanks a lot to all of you guys though, it means a lot. Even you, Chip Chipperson.![]()

That's actually one thing I'm disappointed about. I think Felicity Jones is fantastic and would have made a great Black Cat. I don't think there are any plans to bring her back without the TASM series.Maaaaan.
Hopefully it doesn't mean very much, but who knows? It was only just a couple of days ago when she was interviewed and said she'd be very interested in playing the character again, though there were currently no plans. Seeing as she was one of the things I was most looking forward to, I really do hope we get to see her become the Black Cat somewhere in the future.
But anyways, good for her.![]()
