I've been waiting to see a BVS movie for over a decade and a Spider-Man/MCU deal is still more exciting to me.

the probability of Sinister Six beeing good with the current state of the project and the leaked E-mails...nope i don´t think so...

I agree; however, I have a hard time believing that synopsis given in the "leaked emails" is the actually thesis of the film. I just don't believe it...sound like some made up crap, then pass off as one of the leaks. It does not line up with what was initially the story was suppose to follow...which if they are going to still proceed to make this film, I imagine it will still follow the initial story versus what is said to be in that email.

Possibly. I think the future of the franchise would depend on both the critical and financial success of either movies.

If Sinister Six comes out in 2016, gets a 95% on RT but only makes about $300-400M, then I think Sony may decide to continue with their own franchise and not make any MCU deal.

I agree about both critical and financial. A sony sm movie is not going to do while financial inless it does while critically after the last 3 sm movies though but at the same time if s6 gets good reviews but they make even less then asm2 24.5 million or even lose money that is going to be a problem. Now if s6 dose while critically but dose around the same financial has asm2 or slightly better then a good/great asm3 could really take off.

I'm with the people who liked / loved "The Amazing Spider-Man 2", and I think, just my opinion, that Spider-Man is a solitary hero, so I prefer him alone and no with the Avengers. His own franchise is more interesting for me.



I think every studio has that kind of problems. The problem is that those emails show us them, and we can talk about them.

Oh most certainly. Especially since Warners has been publicly trying to make a 'Batman vs. Superman' film a reality for 15 years.

I've been a staunch defender of S6 since it was announced. I think it COULD be a great movie, BUT, now that I know just how screwed up Sony is, I have a lot of doubt that it WILL be.

Well, for one, I didn't hate the ASM movies. Secondly, their was a lot of good talent attached to Sinister 6. If the studio would have stayed hands off, I think it would have been great, but now we know they still hadn't learned their lesson after ASM2.

To be honest I think that if the Sinister Six movie is happening, it will turn into a Spider-Man movie with the S6. Who knows, maybe if the deal went through, Sony could have told Marvel straight up that they have to move forward with the S6. What I'm trying to say is that whether or not the deal went through, I have a feeling that they are going to push for a reboot with that movie. I wouldn't be surprised if it got pushed back a year just so they can start from scratch. Also another thing to point out is that this movie probably wouldn't have any connection to the Amazing Spider-Man films at all. That's just my two cents.

Right now I would just be happy to get some official ****ing news. Even if they announce that Nic cage is the new Spidey, I'd just be glad that they at least said something.

Sony Pictures reboot is a commercial suicide. Andrew Garfield fired too. We're not in the 90's. For me there are only two options, go on with "The Sinister Six" / "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" or a deal with Marvel Studios.

I don't know I always held an inward hope of TASM2 being better relieved as time rolls by. The whole criticism of 'world building' should be applied to MCU films too but the critics overlook it. Meanwhile, the minuscule amount of world building ASM2 had was a total of 2 minutes. In itself, it's a pretty complete film.

The criticisms of the villain aside, the movie is anchored by a lot of powerful performances. Andrew, to me, acted out the perfect rendition of my favourite CBM character. Emma Stone was marvellous as Gwen Stacy. What everyone should realize is that the movie was never about the villains. It wasn't about the action. At its heart, the movie revolved around the tragedy of Peter and Gwen's relationship. Even the parents storyline builds off from it. After the subway scene, Peter does realize that the most important person in his life is Gwen, and that he is willing to anything for her. The bridge scene really drives that point home.

And the ending? It's one of the most emotional and heartbreaking third acts I have ever seen. The raw emotional impact of it all hits you in the gut like a punch.

Apart from Peter and Gwen, the film really drives home the fact that Spidey never gives up. In spite of facing enormous sacrifices and never-ending difficulties, Peter Parker always always rises up to the challenge.

Those are my feelings exactly about the movie. On paper it would have been the greatest Spidey film ever. It was just dragged down by the mishandled parents plot, questionable treatment of Electro and Rhino, and the rushing of Harry's arc.
