You're taking this to serious. If I said something defending Dane as the Goblin, you would have ate it up and agreed with me. You don't have to response to my comment. All I said was I saw the debate, I've been busy lately and just wanted to say my 2 cents.

I'm assuming a lot of people who reported Raimi talk when it was negative about him already have when its pro Raimi talk, so you might not have to bother

THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH RAIMI'S TAKE

Let me explain. Name me all the comic book villains who wear a rubber mask. Think about that. I can't name barely any who wears a rubber mask in which his mouth isn't covered like so:

Dr Doom wears a metalish mask:

Black Mask wears a wooden mask:

Scarecrow really just wears a scarecrow material type mask:

The problem with the Green Goblin is the dude in the comics wears a full on rubber face mask and for some reason his mouth will move like he wearing makeup.

Yes Raimi did try. Now concept art is one thing. That's ****ing drawings. The only thing that matters is this:

The problem with this. Producers at Sony felt it was too scary and I believe Dafoe couldn't breath in it.

Now some people say Green Goblin looks like a Power Rangers villain. I say how is his look any different from THE BIGGEST AND PERHAPS GREATEST VILLAIN IN MOVIE HISTORY IN DARTH VADER????

Now let's look at Raimi's. Overall while he didn't look 100%, the Goblin at least felt like he was the Goblin in the comics. Green Goblin is meant to make Peter's life a living hell. After their first meeting at the parade, everything the Goblin did was to make Peter's life a living hell.

Now last thing, let's look at Norman Osborn. Dude owns a billion dollar company that does all types of military stuff and some people complain about the Goblin suit and glider coming from Oscorp. Because it's not like superheroes who own billion dollar companies use stuff from their companies...

Honestly, I think Ultimate Spider-Man has the RIGHT IDEA WITH THE GOBLIN IN SOME TERMS. Having Norman turn Goblin by going through a transformation is an ok idea and the best way to go in terms of having a real Goblin look. Maybe not make the transformation like Hulk but more Joker in ROTJ.

It would probably be the best idea to have something like the 616 Goblin.

The problem with TASM2 Goblin suit is simple. It's unmotivated.

The suit connected to the glider is literally the same idea as the Raimi suit. I mean I can on about Kid Goblin's backstory but I'm more talking about appearance. It's basically a darker green suit of Raimi's Goblin without the mask.

Just my 2 cents. Green Goblin is hard to adapt but Raimi did it well.

I don't think anything is "confirmed" right now. It was also confirmed at one point that TASM3 was coming out in 2016 but that's not happening.

There's a difference between telling jokes and then bringing up reporting members, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE MEMBER YOU THINK ABOUT REPORTING IS ON HIS LAST LIFE AND IF YOU REPORT HIM, HE COULD BE BANNED!!!!

And with the Sony leaks, it seems Andrew and Marc won't return for TASM3.

That would be amazing. There are so many benefits to Spider-Man being in the MCU and this is one of them. They could actually do the symbiote storyline and make it accurate to the 616 comics.

It only makes sense for it to be from Oscorp.
It fit perfectly in TASM universe, they could mix the Ultimate and 616, Richard Parker created the suit as a cure for cancer, but he never finished it, as a result, it alters the wearer's personality, making them very aggressive but enhancing they're abilities. this could also give Peter a good reason to go after Harry and Uncle Ben's killer.

Fun fact; the original Sinister Six set up scene had the Symbiote in one of the chambers.

Yeah, and just imagine how awful that would be. At least now we know there was talks, and a supposed Spidey summit happening this month (probably happened already)

I honestly don't know what to think of the silence. I want to believe they have came to an agreement, but I wouldn't be shocked if that's not the case, and they end up moving along with the Sinister Six. Which would be the worst case scenario.

I was also thinking, what if Norman creates like, a variation of the face disguise masks from winter soldier and uses that for the goblin (if the marvel deal ever is worked out)? That way the concept stays true to the 616 roots and it looks like a realistic goblin.
