While I agree with you, Oscop is right as well. Personally, I can't see the symbiote coming from somewhere else in TASM's universe.

True, although they could just rip off the SSM episode where the symbiote attaches itself to John Jameson's shuttle

Another possibility as well, one that hasn't been done before (movies) and It doesn't come from Oscorp either.

A fair amount of the SSM villians all came from the same place

I guess that would work. It also happened in the 90s series. But I think it would be so much more fun if Spider-Man got the symbiote while in space if he was in the MCU. I've dreamed of that happening for years.

A number of villains did come out of Oscorp, but then you had some that came from Connors lab or ones that had no connection to it at all. It was more spread out than the TASM series. In here literally everything comes from Oscorp.

Breaking...The next Spider-man movie has been announced it, will be a co-production:

Between Sony and Fox:

The only villains that came from Oscorp were Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Vulture, Sandman, and Rhino. And Goblin, Ock, and Vulture all worked at Oscorp.

Kraven, Venom, Electro, Lizard, Mysterio, Chameleon, Silvermane, Shocker, Tombstone, Hammerhead, The Enforcers, Molten Man, and Tinkerer were not Oscorp made villains.

Well, that would've been awesome. But since it's 50/50 about Spider-Man joining the MCU, I wouldn't think about it that much.

For MCU Spider-Man, definitely!

Maybe it can just fall out of the sky, right next to Peter. Severe Parker luck right there. :hehe:

Well, if he's in Infinity War, he can get the symbiote in space in a similar manner as in the comics during Secret Wars.

The reason I cannot and will not participate in a raimi vs Webb debate is well....I can't say anything bad about Raimi. I grew up with his films; I watched them so many times that it's hard to care about their flaws, if there are any.

I mean, no-one can call SM1 generic, can they? Because if it were generic, then that claim would be based on the premise that thousands of CBMs woulda come before it. SM1 redefined our expectations of CBMs and changed everyone's perception of the whole genre from being too "kiddish" to actually being a viable investment.

After SM1, directors tried their hand at CBMs, most of which were not financially successful. (With the exception of X2, hellboy, and a few others) Then came SM2, the first superhero film(if I am correct) to win a vfx Oscar. And rightly so. Most, if not all, of its effects hold up today. And SM2 is not only revered because of its effects and Doc Ock. It's still considered by many to be one of the CBMs ever made because of one simple thing: it's intimate storyline. Peter Parker is fundamentally an Everyman. And a movie that can capture his daily struggles without being boring deserves to be admired and appreciated for generations to come.

So, what I am trying to say is this: I can't compare the two directors simply because it's apples vs oranges for me. The Raimi films---I grew up with em. I can't really say anything bad about em. The Webb films--they represent another part of my life; a different one.

So well, that's my opinion on the whole thing. :)

Spider-man 2 is still the best Spider-man film. I say that as a fan of the reboot.

Nearly the end result of January and still no confirmed Spider-Man news.

Agree sm2 is by far the best then asm2 is easily the second best and the other 3 are all pretty close to each other.

There's been a lot of news in the past few hours. A spider-man announcement can't be too far behind
