I wonder how Goddard felt when he heard about Suicide Squad getting a film the same year and before his movie. He sounded so passionate about the movie's premise in his email. Had to hurt.
"**** you, Joker, we have a godzilla sized Sandman!" lol

SS Climax vs. S6 Climax

Joker escaping his cell in the midst of a supervillain prison riot or Sandman stomping through London? lol

Perhaps, perhaps. Sinister Six just sounds so awful right now. And to be honest, Suicide Squad doesn't sound all that appealing either but I have more hope for it than Sony's product.

Guys, could we stop accusing Daltonio of being a troll please? Like, right this instant? Try to put yourself in his shoes, think of how he feels about all this, then getting accused of trolling on top of it just because he wants Spidey to stay at Sony. Let's practice some empathy here.
Thanks you guys, it does mean a lot.

I think maybe I've gotta learn when to keep quiet with the fanboyism sometimes though. All it does is start arguments and make me look like a troll to some people apparently, lol.

Nah, if I was him, I wouldn't even give some of the posts a thought because at the end of the day, your opinion is what should matter most.
True. This place does drive me crazy sometimes, but it can't be that bad if I keep coming back. :woot:

Where did you get your avy from, Daltonio?

Don't keep your fanboyism in check. If people here don't like it, then screw 'em.

Don't keep quiet man. There's a lot of people on these boards, me included, who appreciate different points of view. It's very monotonous up in here as of late.

And I definitely feel your pain man, I've lost many of my diehard franchises, it's the worst. (Not saying anythings a done deal yet)

I'm trying to think of what the X-Men forums were like after Origins but before First Class. Probably a lot like the Spidey forums now.

I'm guessing it was pro-Marvel and anti-FOX.

I don't think Sony is capable of a First Class-style turnaround at this point with TASM3 or S6. They had two chances to reinvigorate their franchise and they blew both of them (Even though I like both ASM films).

Me neither.

I would think that whoever succeeds Pascal would be more open to the deal than she was. That seems to be the consensus here.

I think she was the one keeping Arad around as well, so we may see changes there as well perhaps

It's from the deleted scene where Peter visits Harry at Oscorp. :yay:

Haha. That's a pretty good motto to live life by.

Gotcha.

Yeah, the death of franchises always sucks and this one is even worse since I've never been quite this invested in another as I am with TASM.

The other franchise I'm still not over the loss of is another recent one; Kick-Ass. Seems we won't be getting another, I was hoping for one more. :csad:

I really hope it's Belgrad. But hopefully, even if it isn't him, the other guys can see sense and move forward with the deal.

Pros and cons to the deal:

Pros:

-Spidey is finally home and will never leave again
-He will be redeemed thanks to Marvel's track record with both film quality and critical/GA reception
-It'll breathe new life into the character and make it easy to start fresh
-Marvel is solid with their casting choices, directors, and writers
-Kevin. F'n. Feige

Cons:

-Waiting will be brutal.
-Possible "change for the sake of change".

The thing is that Fox never actually did a reboot. They were smart and went with a prequel and were able to continue what they started. Sony is really stuck though. The only major turnaround would be to MAKE A DEAL WITH MARVEL. Sony, do it already!

Pros heavily outweigh the cons.

Well, if it's true Kazuo Hirai truly felt the Marvel deal was not off the table and wanted to revisit it, that's all that matters, regardless of the no he puts there.

We will find out soon enough

Still, it's an interesting and exciting time.

See. Magneto has one of the best origins ever in comics.

Jewish boy living during Nazi Germany. Seen some much hate in his life towards him for being Jewish. Being tested on after they discovered he's a mutant. He really in some comics becomes the mutant Hitler. He views human as lesser beings.

The whole revenge. "I'm Frankenstein's monster".

I'm mixed about First Class bc I didn't care for Raven and Charles but I love, loved the Magneto stuff.

Spidey doesn't have a character in his universe like that that the public likes. Fair to say the public likes Magneto.

Plus I mean. Dat Fassbender.
