Spider-Knight...

What if Marc Webb just isn't the genius you think he is?

Do you guys think Disney/Hasbro will make merchandise for it? after all they own the merchandising rights.

and I doubt a really obscure superhero team will become one of the highest grossing movies of the year and have excellent reviews... oh, wait.

I'm just saying, it's a possibility.

Such a snarky.

I replied to Harry's post and well...that was unexpected lol.

While I don't like it,I have to say that the delay is helping the franchise.

Initially, I thought that too... but now? Not so much.

If Kurtzman has to right Venom and TASM3, then it'll probably just be the same as TASM3 coming out in 2016.

I doubt Spider-Man would "flop".
I don't know.. if Sinister Six does bad, and gets bad reviews, and if TASM 3 gets bad reviews, and rotten Wom (like TASM 2) then it could easily flop..

I seriously think SS's performance might have a significant influence on TASM 3's performance.

Indeed. With that they should listen to all the constructive critisms from fans and make a great franchise

What if Sinister Six fails, not because of Sony's interference, but due to a general lack of interest from the GA, causing it to flop... and/or it just isn't that good?

Y'all considered that?

It's hard to say since this will likely be something very different or at least I assume that's the idea of this being its own thing and not just another spider-man movie so to whether or not it interests the audience will be down to many things, including how they market it

It will also help if the reviews are good too obviously

Marc have four years. Four years to come up with a solid good script.Find the right balance of scenes while editing and filming.

Alex isn't the only writer for ASM3. There's Pinker and maybe James. Drew could offer his hand to help it somehow. Honestly, after Gwen's death I wasn't really excited for the incoming movies but with the recent news? :woot:

It's like game, what time is better to create a concept, start it and polish it till the release date? Two or four years? Not every movie benefits for such long time but I'm optimistic about it.

TASM3 isn't depending of S6. Sony isn't that dumb. If the movie goes bad they will continue it anyway. It's not like S6 is their last "hope".

What recent news? Are you talking about the delay?

It is. It has to do with finace since the six are spiderman villains and if it flops thanks to Sony's interference they will mostly like dry out and sell the rights back to marvel. Really, they HAVE to make the sinister six good and that goes for future spinoffs and sequels.

Yeah, but it could still have a significant influence on TASM 3' gross.

If Sinister six flops, it could damage TASM 3. especially if Sinister six is suppose to lead into TASM 3.

:lmao: The company isn't going to place their trust about the franchise over a SPIN OFF MOVIE and not over their main franchise that is SPIDER-MAN.

It's like saying that if Spider-Man comics were flopping Marvel would create a solo Black Cat series as their last hope.

That's a naive assumption.

It's not the same thing though as people depend way more on movies and studios wanting to keep rights and with the state Sony is in they should do the smart move and make the franchise great

Ah Marc Webb, with each passing day I want him to be replaced. Dude nailed Spidey's acrobatics but not his fighting scenes (nor villains).
As much as I loved TASM.. that was not the Lizard I wanted. He was too strong but too slow. I know 90's cartoon gave us a brilliant Lizard but my favorite incarnation is from MTV's version. He was ferocious and ridiculously fast but Spidey could react to him and send him flying with a well placed punch.
Just something I wanted to get off my chest lol.

Right now there is also rumours of venom being in 2017 and oddly the female hero also, so Sony may end up taking more then one risk no one really can predict what will happen
