I don't think there's an issue with casting people Lerman's and O'Brien's age for spiderman right now, however, in a couple years when a reboot would start filming that may change. They could wind up looking a lot more mature in just a matter of a few years. I say for the sake of fan casting, it may be a good idea to look for actors that are 18 or 19 now.
Even at 18/19 now, they'd be 20 by the time the reboot starts shooting.
The younger the actor (17-19), the better in the long run.
Exactly. You can age them naturally so they'd look like they're in school, then graduating, etc. which would mean we could follow Peter grow up with the actor rather than have a 30+ year old playing someone just out of high school / college
No point even trying to guess now as today's unknowns are tomorrow's stars.
I mean, the guys who cast first class managed to get basically one of the worlds most popular people on before they were known anywhere.
No point in going with these baby faced Peter Parker lookalikes who can act a bit and have starred in a YA movie. Cast an unknown with real talent and watch them rocket to stardom.
Logan would be an awful choice for mine, he doesn't seem like that great of an actor at all.
I agree.
You don't want that Logan fella anymore?
I like Lerman as a potential choice, but I'd be even happier to see a talented unknown cast in the role of a lifetime.
I want a young unknown actor to play Spidey now.You don't want that Logan fella anymore?
I want...
an actor.
In fact, I want an actor that has...acting ability.![]()

Eh, fair point.
I don't think the Spidey Summit is happening.
