The final battle in the MTV series (in the episode featuring the Lizard) also took place on the top of Oscorp tower.

This version of the Lizard was completely primal and was the cause of his own demise...

I would not mind this

Sure, it would've been great if Connors lived, but then again he would only be useful if the symbiote is used, as he would be helpful like in TAS, but then again, him turning into a lizard, perhaps there won't be a cure which was so easy for TAS and TSSM that Lizard ends up killing himself.

The teaser had some footage of cars being bashed aside on a bridge. You couldn't see what was doing the bashing, but...

Perhaps this bridge scene is actually where Captain Stacy dies.

Well, Peter's entire story is meant to be tragic, so having almost everyone around him die wouldn't be a stretch. It basically happened in Raimi's trilogy as well with almost everyone dying around him.

Plus, with this Peter being on the intellectual side and moreso than in Raimi's trilogy, imo, would he really need Connors' aide? I don't think so.

I say Connors dies.

Well, it would be nice to see Connors live, but I think it would mean so much more if he dies. This isn't a cartoon, so I am fine when villains do die.

If Gwen is only a hostage in ONE movie, then that's fine. But it would be better to save that with Green Goblin.

All kidding aside though, very cool. Also like that Lizard people will be in this since part of Lizard's goal was to reshape humanity in his own image. I've always liked that wacky idea back to the Lizard.

-Peter is really smart in this one,so he wouldn't need Dr.Connors.

-If Kraven ever is a villain,they could use one of the Swat Lizards for a Kraven & Lizard story.

-Maybe that's why Kraven shows up in a sequel,to hunt down the Swat Lizards.

I dunno... continuing the Lizard without THE Lizard just rubs me the wrong way for some reason. To me the reason the Lizard is such an iconic villain is not because of how he looks but because of who he is inside. He's, basically, the only villain who's also a good guy. Taking that away and all you've got is the Killer Croc.

Still it's deleting the whole rich personal history with Peter and Jekyll & Hyde aspects. It just, doesn't seem like it would be the same guy. Appearance wise, yes - but on a deeper level, not really. If the Lizard is killed in this, I kinda just want it to end there.

I dunno. If he wanted to take over humankind, I think there'd be more than just SWAT lizards.

I think the movie will be tragic from the very beginning. At least having Connors getting together with his family could happen to end the movie on a optimistic note.

You know what would be great storytelling though, is if Peter had to make a choice and a sacrifice, and that sacrifice would end up being Conners. That I would not mind, but I would like to see him live, and if he lives but turns himself in there could be a scene where Peter goes to see him in prison.

I guess you could say that. It's seems to be partially inspried by the Ditko/Romtia Sr run butalso it's own thing, I guess.
