Mhm, sure.

He won't be having a cameo. The only cameo will be Stan Lee.

God, I wish we had actual news to discuss. -_-

Was his cameo role revealed?

Yes. Months ago.

"There’s a big battle going on between Spider-Man and The Lizard in a library. I’m the librarian. And I’m stamping books… And I have earphones on and I’m listening to music… And this life-and-death battle is going on behind me… It looks so funny and I look so dumb."

He will look as dumb as he says
xD

Doubt it. Sony didn't even let Tobey and Kirsten have a cameo.

Ugh. I really hope they don't consider doing that in the future. Tobey & Kirsten had their films now let's move on and let the new cast enjoy theirs. I want them to be completely separate and that kind of a thing would cause sillyness IMO, and if Sony wants the new movies to be a 'new' thing; they'd be better off keeping the old cast away from it.

I actually think a cameo from them would be cool, but I doubt it'll happen. You do make a good point though.

It would be a nostalgic type thing and that's ok, but what bothers me is that if there was a cameo from any one of them; now we have something that connects the films and, at least for me, I really don't want that.

They could be background characters with very brief appearance

Adam West voiced in 2 Batman cartoons

Voicework in a cartoon is a big difference over a cameo in a film. I can appreciate a cameo by Stan Lee or even a more obscure cameo such as Josh Keaton or Romano or Barnes, or even the guy that played Spidey back in that TV show in the late 70s or early 80s. But a cameo from an actor/actress that had a major role in the movies that just came out a few years ago and happen to be in the Spidey movies that Sony is trying to get away from with TAS, would be counter-productive.

Point taken

I'll start!

"What the hell were they smoking when they designed that thing?":oldrazz:

Some good ****...until they ran out of it when they got to the ankles :oldrazz:

Wonder if J.K will make a cameo here

It's unnecessary to bring in past actors of the same character to have a cameo in the reboot series. It would be silly to have seen Adam West or Michael Keaton show up in Batman Begins or The Dark Knight, so why should we see anyone from Raimi's trilogy in the new reboot?

Doubt it. Sony didn't even let Tobey and Kirsten have a cameo.

Plus, you have to understand to a point why Sony wouldn't want to have Kirsten in a cameo...she's awful, lol.

Toby on the other hand...as much he's an okay actor, the same shtick what I said up above...it's completely unnecessary.

I don't see a cameo from Tobey as being all that bad of an idea...it'd be a nice nod to the old trilogy, and would almost be a nice way of saying "hey we respect the Raimi trilogy and don't think it's garbage like some people do."

I mean Nicholas Hammond was SUPPOSE to have a cameo in the original trilogy himself but it fell through. So if he almost had a shot why not Tobey?

I seriously think some ppl maybe saying they don't want this just cause some folks are starting to have animosity towards the Raimi films while their hype for the reboot is growing.

I definately prefer nolan's look than that PoS. it's not possible to look at s**tmakers take on bane and feel intense rage.
from now on any character that gets short changed in a movie people should say they got 'baned'. venom was 'baned' in SM3.

completely disagree..but we aren't here to discuss SM3 or BatMan..this is AMZ Spidey so anyways.....anything new to report guys?

I disagree. See below.

(Just replace Duke Nukem with that Bane)

atill is more faithuful to what bane looks like than his look in TDKR...idk the mask in TDKR just irks me
Yes, but he'll act more like Bane instead of the SchusnaabdbpiupUHabbababbadingdongmaker Bane who had less intelligence than a mentally handicapped zombie.

Nicholas Hammond, an actor who played Spidey in a tv show from the 70's is not the same as having a cameo from an actor who was in a largely successful franchise that didn't even have a proper end.

Not to mention the last Spidey movie only came out 5 years ago.

I personally wouldn't mind a cameo from Tobey and Kirsten if it was something really subtle, just like, them walking in the background. Something you really have to look out for.

Basically, the complete opposite of Stan Lee's cameos.

But eh, guess they just want to play it safe and avoid ANY connection (for now at least, maybe we'll have a possible cameo from somebody who was in the previous trilogy in a sequel?) to the previous trilogy.

So...Nolan should have brought in Michael Keaton as a way to say "Hey, we respect Burton's series and don't think it's garbage"?. No...that would be silly. They can respect it without having to bring in an actor from the old trilogy to state as such.

I seriously think some ppl maybe saying they don't want this just cause some folks are starting to have animosity towards the Raimi films while their hype for the reboot is growing.

And I seriously think people would want to see anyone from the old trilogy just because they want to because they love the trilogy so much.

But...as I've said. It's unnecessary.

I actually think having ppl from older films have cameos in newer films isn't stupid....it's been done MANY times before with other film franchises but whatever....nobody ever seems to listen to reason on these boards...

You completely ignored what I said. It isn't stupid, but it's a little unnecessary. Sony's playing it safe right now and is avoiding connections to the previous franchise.

Name 3, 4 major film franchises that have done this.

Star Trek, James Bond, SuperMan(in the form of SmallVille)

And I can't think of any OFF HAND, not right away but THERE ARE OTHERS

That's really only 2. I'm assuming you're talking about Christopher Reeve's cameo in Smallville?

But what my point is that, for now, Sony's not going to be cool with throwing in actors from the previous trilogy. ESPECIALLY in a reboot that's been met with such mixed reactions from fans of the previous trilogy, fans in general and the general audience. You've noticed how "The Untold Story" and how they're making it clear that this isn't that (Tobey Maguire's) Peter Parker story.

There are little nods to the previous trilogy though, I guess, the suit has a similar looking symbol to the previous trilogy's suit. Except that it's thinner, spaced out more and segmented.

And the poses that Spidey has in some of the posters/marketing material and very reminiscent of poses that Spidey was in in stills in the marketing campaign in the previous trilogy.

It's not stupid, just unnecessary. What's the point of bringing back old faces? There isn't a good reason except for people thinking it'll be cool.

And I can't think of any OFF HAND, not right away but THERE ARE OTHERS

Star Trek - in the same timeline at the beginning and explaining how an alternate timeline was created so a member from the original timeline was necessary to show up, in this case, Spock.

James Bond - fantastic films with ****ed up continuity with the same M from two different "eras".

Smallville - Christopher Reeve and that woman who played as Lois who I'm blanking on the name showed up as cameos because Smallville is supposed to be in the same line of the Donnorverse. Dean Cain is the exception, and the woman who played as Lois' mother, so I'll give you that one, but only that.

I still love that picture. The suit looks so dang bright which is perfect.
