Yes, but he'll act more like Bane instead of the SchusnaabdbpiupUHabbababbadingdongmaker Bane who had less intelligence than a mentally handicapped zombie.

I love this emotion

In the bond movies, M, Monnepenny and Q were normally the same despite the guy playing Bond but putting Tobey and Kristin in the movies would be the equivalent of Sean Connery popping up in a roger Moore flick or pierce Brosnan having a cameo in skyfall. Things like that can take a viewer out of the reality a film is trying to create and that's not a good look

The hell? We finally get rid of Dunced and now people want her to cameo?

We need to have Plenty O'Toole again. Played by Christina Hendricks.

James Bond - fantastic films with ****ed up continuity with the same M from two different "eras".

The Bond series was considered rebooted and a new continuity following Casino Royale, the first in the continuity, so...

Your argument is invalid

On a serious note though, Casino Royale was the first in a new continuity. 007 acheived Double 0 status at the beginnig of that film.

it's the same thing with ASM. reboot, new continuity right? Casting JK as JJJ would be the very same thing as keeping Dench as M.

Incidentally Simmons is the one man I'd support returning, just because he was that awesome.

I'd support it also but I wouldn't compare keeping JK to keeping Judi Dench. They could've gone with another person to play M, but thematically, it works having M continue to be a female with Craig's interpretation of Bond and him having that motherly figure around adds for a lot of depth to his portrayal and their relationship. It's not just boss/agent and that brings something to the series that it didn't have before.

They could achieve much the same result by portraying JJJ as slightly less rough around the edges and more of a father figure type. It still comes down to "we're keeping this one actor who plays the leads boss because they're awesome."

Not trying to argue with you, it just feels like the same situation to me. And one that's irrelevant I guess since JJJ isn't even in ASM.

They've had people show up in more than one Bond film, most famously Maud Adams who was in a large supporting role in The Man with the Golden Gun and came back to play the title character in Octopussy and Joe Don Baker who was the main villain in The Living Daylights and Felix Leiter's replacement in the Brosnan films (Leiter was crippled in Licence to Kill).

My personal favourite is Walter Gotell who plays long time recurring character General Gogol, but was a high ranking SPECTRE agent in From Russia With Love.

Yeah we would have to agree to disagree on the main point but you're right, it is a moot point since he won't be in it. Now for the sequel, this is a discussion to go back to.

yeah and I liked that stuff and it never took me out the film. that's a bit different than having Sean Connery or Roger Moore or George Lazenby show up to be different characters in a bond film. The reality that your film is trying to depict becomes a bit off in that sense. Like I said, having Pierce show up in Skyfall would be cool from a fan pov but from a creative pov, how does that help your movie and what is the goal of it?

There is no real need to do it. I'm just saying if they did, people wouldn't reject it.

I think some might actually. Lol I'd be one of them and that's no diss to Pierce at all, but he had his time as Bond and he moved on along with the franchise. It would come off as TOO self-referrential and it seems they're trying to move away from that, which is why I'd be against it if Tobey or Kirsten showed up. Again, no disrespect to either of them, it just wouldn't work for me but that's me, not everyone will agree.

I personally hate cameos...it takes me out of the movie. It's good for comedic moments like Stan Lee cameos but he's about the only cameo I tolerate because he is the Godfather but his roles sometimes go too far (SM3, FF2, TIH) and I roll my eyes.

Agreed.

If it was something VERY, VERY subtle, like, something that you wouldn't even notice unless you paused the movie and/or had someone point it out to you, then sure... anything apart from that, no thanks.

I think it would be pretty fun to see Maguire and Dunst in the background, like eating dinner in a restaurant or something. No cameo Stan Lee style though.

Bryan Cranston

^^^^This guy for J. Jonah Jameson

I like that!

Cranston is good at comedy but he can definitely pull of serious and angry. Plus he looks just like the comics JJ

I think he'd also make a good Gordon in the next batman film after TDKR.

Has it been confirmed yet if wheatcakes will be making an appearance? They're Peter's favorite breakfast, you know.

See J.K. SImmons again would be awesome. He did such a great job, so I'd be completely open to see him again.
